RESEARCH PORTFOLIO Prompt For the final project, you will need to turn in a portfolio containing the following, in this order with the first things on the top. Please put all required elements in a manila folder. □ This Checklist, with all items (hopefully) checked off as you include them in your portfolio. □ A title page (with your name, the title of your portfolio, your instructor’s name, the date, your class and section number, and the name of your school) □ A table of contents □ Reflective essay – this will be a 2-3 page essay reflecting on your experience in English 201. Some questions you can ponder when you are working on this would be: *What were your expectations of 201? How has the actual experience of 201 changed or differed from those expectations? *What growth have you seen in your writing? *What was your favorite/most hated assignment? *How did Ari do? Be honest! You will not be graded down at all for being truthful. *As you are leaving 201, have you learned anything you think you can take with you in the big wide world? *What can be done to improve the course? Any suggestions are welcomed! □ A letter explaining any revisions you’ve done for ANY of the elements in this portfolio; in addition, you will need to HIGHLIGHT any changes you’ve made from the last draft to this final draft on anything you choose to revise (research proposal, annotated bib, research paper) □ Research proposal □ A final, proofread draft of your source-based essay of at least 8-10 pages. □ A separate Works Cited page, which correctly lists at least 8 outside sources used in your essay. Please use MLA style or APA style □ Your final annotated bibliography, with all rough drafts behind the final version □ Library research packet and attachments □ Revision checklist □ Your peer-reviewed rough drafts and peer review sheets. Note: An incomplete portfolio will NOT be graded. You will have prompts for each of the required elements, so please refer to those for specific information! The Research Portfolio is due on Thursday, March 22, 2007, at noon in my office. NO LATE PORTFOLIOS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
