This report is prepared on the basis of visit to Maxion Wheels Pvt. Ltd. Pune. The aim of this project is to comprehensively analyse and understand the realistic working of industries.

Outline of Kalyani Maxion Wheels Pvt. Ltd.

Maxion Wheels Pvt. Ltd is wheel Rim manufacture Industry. The Industry basically manufactures wheel Rims Ranging between 5.516 to 8.5-20 and drop centre wheel rims of 5.5 x 15 to 8.25 x 22.5.

Outline of Conclusion and recommendation

The Industry is very much successful in its respective market. The working conditions and safety measures are followed according to government norms. However some factors could be improved for better growth.

PURPOSE OF INDUSTRIAL VISIT  The concept of industrial visit is so beneficial to the students as it provides a deep understanding about the corporate world.  A student’s life is very different from those who are working. The change from a student’s routine to a routine of a working person is made easy when we know what the change is and through this industrial visit helps students to know the daily routine and the responsibilities of a person in an industry.



In today’s life, we cannot be successful with mere theoretical knowledge. We must also know about the habits, manners and ways of living of the corporate world.

 We can learn about them by coming in contact with them through these industrial visits. While visiting an industry, a student begins to develop initiative and drive. These are the lessons far more valuable than other lessons of books.

 This enables students to get experience about the same working condition and with the same processes, materials and equipment that they will be using when the responsibilities are taken by them.

 It also helps to gain practical experience and practical knowledge. These experiences provide systematic learning, better utilization of machines and materials and high moral.

OBJECTIVES OF INDUSTRIAL VISIT Objective of the study is to learn and experience significant contribution of theoretical aspects of business administration in business world. Any organisation either public or private comes under industry of commerce follow the basic concepts of business administration and they have to plan organise direct control and coordinate different activities at different grounds.

The study is undertaken the following specific objectives: To learn and experience the current business world.  To analyse the present organisational behaviour and business environment.  To analyse the effect of the ethics and values in enhancing effectiveness of the organisation.  To analyse various measures necessary for gearing up of business

DETAILS OF THE JOURNEY  The industrial visit to Maxion Wheels Pvt. Ltd Industries was scheduled on saturday, 4th March 2017. A total number of 60 students accompanied by 3 faculty were present for the visit.  We departed from our college at 09.30AM and arrived at Maxion Wheels Pvt. Ltd Industry by 10.30A.M  A detailed informative session was taken by the companies . The session comprehensively covered all the major information about Maxion Wheels. All the doubts put forward by students were clarified and no ambiguity prevailed.  A brief informative session was taken by the companies .. Immediately after the session the students and faculties were divided into two groups. Both the groups were taken for a complete tour of the factory. The use and working of all the equipment were explained in details.  We departed from the factory premises around 2 PM and arrived in the college around 4.30 PM. There was halt of 45 minutes for lunch.  The visit turned out to be highly informative and gave the students a great exposure to nitty-gritty’s of the manufacturing industry.

CORE BUSINESS  The Core business of the Maxion Wheels pvt ltd is to manufacture wheel rims for light as well as heavy weight vehicles.  Maxion wheels have been doing quite well in this field from last 50 years & more.  Maxion wheels are the number 1 wheel manufacturing company in the world.  Maxion wheels manufacture wheel rims for trains in brazil.  Maxion wheel manufacture wheel rims for military tanks which weight 70kg per wheel.

EMPLOYEES ENAGAGMENT  For motivating their employees company organises the family get together.  Maxion wheels celebrate national safety week every year and in that they put forward various games , various activities to inhance the skills of the employees as well as the employees will get to know more about organisation as well as organisation will also get to know more about their employees personality.

 They had provided water tankers in nearby village in chakkan during the time of water shortage.  The HR team has adopted an orphanage in pune and there they provided stationary items and other useful things to the childrens.  Medical facilities has been provided to their workers.

GROUP OBSERVATION  The security for entry into the premises was intense.  The working of all machineries were explained comprehensively.  Workers were provided with safety gears for use.  There was canteen and sanitation facility for workers.  The representative of the Maxion Wheels was not polite at all.

CONCLUSION  As we have been there we have experienced and gained the knowledge about the proper industry. In books we acquire only theoretical knowledge, but in actual, the pragmatic implementation of the same, can be grasped only by visiting an industry, which Maxion Wheels has provided to us.  We have learned that how managers are able to manage an industry at a large scale.  We come to know that how we implement our ideas in practical way.

 The workers of Maxion Wheels are very friendly and adjusting, they give us a chance to learn more about their machine.
