Frontcourt — C The 3-headed post of Will Egolf, Sam Singh and Anthony Thompson produced just 5 points and 8 rebounds. Milos Knezevic saw his first action, but it was a brief two minutes.
Backcourt — B Ninety-three percent of the scoring came from the guards, but the backcourt had its share of defensive breakdowns. To be fair, Andrew Warren and Chris Roberts were forced to guard bigs, leading to the rebounding disparity.
Bench — A Dodie Dunson scored 16 points before he broke his arm and will now miss the rest of the season. Freshman Dyricus Simms-Edwards was impressive on both ends (12 points, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block) and now becomes an important cog on this team with Dunson out.
Overall — B The Braves were smacked on the boards and struggled defensively to stop their Big Sky opponents. But they took good care of the ball (8 turnovers), hit 11 of 22 3-pointers and made enough plays down the stretch to pull out a down-to-the-wire win. And now they have Taylor Brown back to bolster the rebounding. Grades by DAVE REYNOLDS
