Frontcourt: A Will Egolf (12 points, 9 rebounds) picked a great time for the best game of his college career. Taylor Brown (12 points, 7 rebounds) battled foul trouble and Anthony Thompson had four big first-half points.
Backcourt: A Andrew Warren’s four 3-pointers and Sam Maniscalco’s four late free throws and five assists were just the beginning. Every guard made a contribution.
Bench: A Not much in the way of points production (7 total), but Dyricus SimmsEdwards’ 3 steals and Thompson’s reserve post minutes were huge.
Overall: A Jim Les’ greatest regular-season victory at Bradley and first over a ranked team since beating No. 16 Drake two years ago. Hats off to the defense, limiting Illinois to 40 percent shooting and coming up with 8 steals. A tremendously consistent effort that can have positive ramifications for the Braves all the way to March if they continue to have success. Grades by DAVE REYNOLDS
