Objectives This Work Instruction describes the removal and replacement of the ZLinier Bearings/Z-rail.

Step 1 Perform work instruction AA-09-037 (Changing the Lamp) of Steps 1 to 6. Step 2 Perform work instructions AA-09-063 (Replacing the Ball Screw) of the Steps 1 to 11. Step 3 The exposure head now can be swung to the right to gain more access to the 4x Z-Bearings and 4x Z-Rails. Caution: Ensure that the “Cardboard” remain under the exposure heads At all times to avoid damage to punched-hole vacuum plate! Step 4 Remove 4x Z-bearing by sliding them out from the Z-rail “up or down”. Step 5 Use “Angle Measuring Tool” as swoon below.

Step 6 Unscrew 2x 2.5mm bolts and remove “Bottom” Z-rail left side only. 6.1 Install Z-rail “Bottom” with 2x 2.5mm bolts. 6.2 Use angle-measuring tool to “Align” the top to bottom “new” rail then fasten the 2x 2.5mm bolts. Step 7 Unscrew 2x 2.5mm and remove “Top” Z-rail left side only. 7.1 Install Z-rail “Top” with 2x 2.5mm bolts. 7.2 Use angle-measuring tool to “Align” the bottom to top “new” rail then fasten the 2x 2.5mm bolts. Step 8 Use steps 5 to 7.2 for right side “Z-Rails”. Step 9 Install and align the Z-Linier Bearing and guide centrally on the rail (4x). Step 10 Place the exposure head on the gauge blocks (between 14 and 19mm). Step 11 Perform work instruction AA-09-063 (Replacing the Ball Screw) and steps 1 to 12 “In the reverse order”.
