Objectives This Work Instruction describes the removal and replacement of the YRails.

Scope of Application UV-Setter 57-Z

Descriptions The Mechanical tolerance of the individual components must correct due to Mechanical Length of Time.

Step 1 “Move” plate loader to paper trolley position. (See fig. 1) Step 2 Remove plate trolley, for easy access for head 2.

Step 3 Perform a work instruction AA-09-037 (Changing the lamps) “Description” for proper shot down of UV-setter. Step 4 Remove all bolt seal cup with small flat screwdriver on both top and bottom Y-Rails. Avoid losing or damaging seal cups or replace. (See fig. 2)

Step 5 Starting on the “top” Y-rail. Unscrew and remove 22x 3mm bolts starting from the center of the Y rail going out towards the both exposure heads “Except” for two bolts on each end of the rail. (See fig. 3)

Step 6 Remove side bracket 2x 5mm bolts. Bumper exposure head bracket “operator” side only. (See fig. 4)

Step 7 Move both exposure head towards the center Approximately 1 feet from the end of Y-rail on each exposure heads. Remove remaining 4x 3mm bolts on each end of the Y-rail. (See fig. 3) 7.1 Slide out Y-rail towards operator side. “Clean” new rail with presolve or alcohol before installation. Caution: Do not move exposure heads while inserting the Y-rails. 7.2 Install “new” Y-rail by inserting to the “old linier bearings” exposure head1 first bearing and then to the exposure head1 second bearing. Next, get a second body to inset Y-rail to the exposure head2 first bearing then exposure head2 second bearing. 7.3 Use a “new 3mm bolts” to the Y rail. Snug tight at this time to all the bolts except behind the exposure heads.

7.4 Move the exposure head1 to the side and complete bolts installation. Next move back exposure head1 to the same location 1 foot from the end of the Y-rail. Then move exposure head2 to side and complete bolts installation. Step 8 Slide exposure heads by moving couple of times. Then move exposure head2 to the center of the UV-setter. Note: make sure that the movement is not subject to any mechanical stress. 8.1 Move exposure head1 to the operator side exposing the first bolt left side of The exposure head1. (See fig. 5)

8.2 Use torque wrench with 3mm drive and torque range requirement. 8.3 Tighten first bolt from the operator side left side of the exposure head1.

8.4 Move exposure head1 toward center exposing the next bolt. Then use step 8.2 to tighten the second bolt. (See fig. 5 & 6) 8.5 Use steps 8.4 then 8.2 to tighten the rest of the bolts. Until you meet the Exposure head2. 8.6 Move exposure head2 to the side away from the operator side, then use steps 8.4 then 8.2 and tighten the rest of the bolts. Until you meet exposure Head2. (See fig. 7)

8.7 Move exposure head1 to the left towards operator side then use exposure head2 right side, and Move head2 to the right one bolt at a time to tighten the rest of bolts, use Step 8.2 torque range. (See fig. 8)

Step 9 Now moving to “bottom Y-rail” Unscrew and remove 22x 3mm bolts starting from the center of the Y rail going out towards the both exposure heads “Except” for two bolts on each end of the rail. 9.1 Use individual steps 7 to 8.7 for the bottom Y-rail. Step 10 Install side bracket 2x 5mm bolts. Bumper exposure head bracket “operator” side. Slide exposure heads by moving couple of times on the new Y-rail. Note: make sure that the movement is not subject to any mechanical stress. Step 11 Use work instruction AA-09-037 (Changing the lamps) to power UVSetter.

Step 12 Activate the “service” menu and click on “Service” ~ “Manual Motor Driving” ~ “click” and “mark check” at the box “Motor Power” “Click” First head, then click control bar up or down to activate Exposure Head Movements, Repeat this on the Second Head.
