Sub: Recommendations for Controlled Temperature Concrete for TG raft On 12.06.2008 the undersigned along with Heads of Quality Departments SEPCO III, M/s Simplex Infrastructure Limited and M /s Gannon Dunkerley and Co. had visited discrete Ice Factories at Anjar and Padana to assess the availability to suit our requirements for Controlled temperature Concrete for TG Raft Unit No.5 and 6. After careful examination it is concluded that the Ice Quantity shall comfortably be made available from Umiya Ice Factory located at Anjar and Pitra Krupa Ice Factory located at Padana. Prima facie the Ice is suitable for pour, but to further ascertain the compatibility i.e. for the chemical analysis of the water which is to be consumed for preparation of Ice the random sampling was jointly carried out at Sources at Anjar and Padana and has been given to Geo Engineering Services Laboratory at Adipur in person. The results shall be made available on 14.06.2008. The recommendations jointly discussed and agreed are as under: 1. The pouring of TG Raft shall begin in the evening hours, preferably after 17 Hours; to take full advantage of ambient temperature of atmosphere, temperatures of sand, 10 mm, 20 mm aggregates and normal water. 2. First lot of Ice [minimum 80 MT] shall reach the site before 6 -8 hours of the start of pour. 3. Thereafter inflow of ice from Factories shall be sequential at a rate of one truck [10 MT] per 1 hour. 4. The dosage of ice shall be 72 % of the total requirement of normal water. 5. Representatives from M/s Simplex Infrastructure Limited and M /s Gannon Dunkerley and Co as per the requirement and occasion shall be stationed one at Umiya Ice Factory, Anjar and one at Pitra Krupa Ice Factory, Padana for the non-stop supply of ice from Factories during the complete pour.
