Embest has announced the release of Embest lxRTOS which is a multi-thread, multi-task real-time operating system intended for using in embedded systems that require maximum reliability. This embedded RTOS is focused on ARM7/9 processor families in full source code. The lxRTOS has a Preemptive ARM kernel written in ANSI C, and is able to support various C compilers, few parts of codes are written in assembly language and is with high portability. Its single-process, multi-thread structure makes it powerful with high real-time performance. Its easy-to-use Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are with powerful functions and flexible operations. This software also features for its Task Management, Message Queue Management, Mutex Management, Semaphore Management, Mailbox Management, Block Memory Management and Heap Memory Management. Embest lxRTOS is free to be used for research for a non-commercial purpose or private study.
