PREFACE

In this age of universal digital connectivity, there is indeed no time for manual work so we implemented the project of railway SECR, Raipur called PENSION MANAGEMENT. Two trends have come together to make the content of this document of vital interest. First, the explosive growth and use of new technology provide by Microsoft” visual basic .net platform” which increased the dependence of both organization and individuals on the information stored and communicated using these system. These projects help user to accomplish their goals by understanding the practical and real life applications of visual basic .NET. The project range from a simple project to create a window application using ADO.NET as the data access model to a complex project to create a web application using web service. Second, the most widely used database system in the world is the “oracle” as it runs on virtually on all platforms, from window based PCs to UNIX servers. It also comes with an array of programming tools and environments and provides access to the database from a variety of high level programming languages. The project “Pension Management System” will automate the processing based on inputs provided. The concept of OOPS and file system are used to handle the problem. We are using .NET language as front end and Oracle10g as back end to implement this. In railway the retirement is mainly of 3 types – 1. Superannuation retirement. 2. .Death retirement. 3. .Voluntire retirement. The main objective of our project is to automate the pension calculation, so that the system developed will better in efficiency accuracy and maintenance. This software provides the employee this software provides the employee to see their data, calculation and details of their pension. Also it provides security by accessing only through authorized person. The authorized person can only modify or edit the data and show it in front of employee. It can’t modify by another person.
