Queen Itenerary

Jayhawker Rodeo Pageant Itinerary Hill City, Kansas Applications are due July 5th, 2018 Competition: Sunday July 14th, 2018 (Couey’s Arena & Graham Co. Community Center) 8:00AM- Check in and sign contracts 8:15AM- Meeting 8:30AM- Open Arena and preparations for horsemanship 9:00AM- Horsemanship. We will begin with queens on their first horse, then princesses, and then queens on their second horse. Please refer to the Horsemanship page for more details. (Once you are done with horsemanship, you can go to the bank to get ready for the interview.) -Horse can be left at the arena or taken to the fairgrounds in Hill City and left in the stock pens. 11:15AM- Interviews and Tests. Princesses will interview first while queens take the written test & write thank you’s. Once finished queens will begin interviews while princesses complete the written test and write thank yous. 12:00- Jim coming to take picture for the newspaper 12:30PM- Eat lunch with family and judges. ________________________________________________________________________ Monday July 29th, 2018 5:00PM- Parade- everyone will need to be in the parking lot in front of the hospital to begin line-up for the parade. The parade begins at 5:30. 7:30PM- Coronation*- We will be lining up in front of the rodeo office on horses to prepare for the coronation. Coronation will be at 7:45PM. After this, all contestants are asked to ride in the grand entry. After that we will give out the remaining prizes and take photos of the newly crowned royalty and award category prizes. 8:30PM- Rodeo* *Contestants get in to the rodeo free.
