Sin embargo, se han convertido en excelentes comerciantes de las manualidades y artesanías. La visita a Amantaní necesariamente implica quedarse una noche en la isla. Para mucha gente, esta experiencia de estadía en una casita y el encuentro con la familia anfitriona es una revelación muy significativa de la realidad de la gente de los Andes.
