The GATE program provides services to gifted children that respond to their unique social, emotional and cognitive needs. These are: % Appropriate pace of instruction; % Opportunity to explore topics in depth; % Exposure to advanced curriculum; % Frequent choice of what and how they learn; % Opportunity to interact with intellectual peers. A curriculum for the gifted student is developed to include the above areas. The curriculum will be introduced to the students at appropriate grade levels and then developed and maintained. This Gifted Pull-out is in alignment with the Boise Schools’ District Standards.
