Sub: Suggestions regarding exemption to Charitable Organization from Payment of I.T. on anonymous donations. Dear Sir, Please refer to press release by Petition Committee for suggestions on exemption to Charitable Organizations from payment of I.T. on anonymous donations. Our glorious culture developed the value of “Gupta Dana”, many donors wish to give donations without anything in return including name, fame and honour for donation given, but the policy of taxation on anonymous donations violates this value. As far as my thinking is concerned, Government should exempt these organizations (Which are noted in the Press Release) from the taxation. Instead of taxing them, it will be far more appropriate to give some kind of support to these organizations. Thanking you.
