Theoretical and Practical Workshop The training covers in-depth Auricular Acupuncture theory from both the Western Medicine and Chinese Medicine approaches. It looks at the pathology of the ear and its’ interrelationship with treating chronic conditions, disorders and pain management. Safe auricular acupuncture needling practice, techniques and controls are an important feature of the course. On the practical side we use electrical acupunctoscopes for locating new points before practicing safe needling techniques for treatment. Practical assessments are carried out throughout the duration of the course. The written examination is taken on the final day. Therefore we offer a good combination of both practical and theory work on this course. Open College Network Accreditation Once students have applied and been accepted to attend our Module III training course they are registered with the Open College Network. At the beginning of the Module it is explained to them what they need to achieve by the end of it. The tutor is continually assessing their progress throughout the duration of the Module in a variety of ways, both practically and written. All students deemed to have achieved the goals of the Module receive certificates from both the British College of Auricular Acupuncture and from the Open College Network.
