In the so-called 'war on terror', which is actually a false war waged solely to propagate Western political and military dominance in various parts of the globe, hypocrisy constitutes one of its natural and inseparable components. As long as the side fighting the so-called terror is a proWestern regime or is a Western-installed regime, and the socalled terror is of Muslim denomination, then the war against terror is wholly legitimate and killings are allowed. Advanced weaponry including cluster bombs, ground penetration missiles, phosphorous bombs and even 'weapons of awe' can be freely used. But if the terms and conditions are not met, then the terror might no more be qualified to be regarded as such. They then become re-classified as 'victims' of excessive force by the victorious government side and the government is urged to open up to outside inspectors or in simpler language, to accept foreign-assigned blame and pay penitence to the West. If the government is reluctant to take blame and bow to the West, then the foreign media starts to whip up stories about inhuman conditions in camps occupied by displaced people and stories about lack of food and stories about youths being taken away for questioning. The people should not forget about Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib and many other camps run by the West which would make temporary makeshift camps for displaced people look a lot more like (family gatherings at) Disneyland. The West has a long tradition in operating camps. One very notorious camp operated by the West after combat ended was Bad Nenndorf in Germany just ouside the town of Hanover. There were other camps or centres during the fighting which were almost as notorious but Bad Nenndorf was set up after full cessation of fighting. Bad Nenndorf was run by the British as a prisoner camp for people of German and other nationalities who were considered not worthy to mix with the local population. Many of its inmates were exGerman soldiers and suspected communist sympathisers or suspected spies but a few were actually innocent individuals caught up by mistaken identity. The camp was set up in June 1945 and operated until July 1947 and several hundred people passed throught its gates, many never to get out alive. The place was run in great secrecy and no outsiders were allowed. Many people who survived the saturation bombings and massed destruction of six harrowing years could not survive their short stay in the camp. Inmates were routinely tortured and subjected to humiliating acts. During the cold winters at the camp, the prisoners were deprived of sleep and forced to stand for hours and hours on end virtually naked and had water repeatedly thrown at them. Many were tied or handcuffed to open windows at night and suffered frostbite as a result. On top of it their diet was reduced to a starvation one and so, many did not survive the ghastly combination. Apart from this particular torture, the prisoners were subjected to
regular beatings, whippings and had parts of their bodies subjected to treatment with thumbscrews and shinscrews. Their nails were also pulled out by their torturers and they were sometimes tied to the ceilings at their wrists while weights were tied to their legs. The camp was concealed from the knowledge of the International Red Cross and would have remained secret had it not because some army doctors who came across several Bad Nenndorf patients in an army hospital complained to superior officers. An investigation was made but in the end no one was found gulity. Nevertheless, the camp was closed down as the evidence of the inhuman misdeeds there was too overwhelming. Bad Nenndorf was not an isolated case of Western hypocrisy and evil. We must not forget waterboarding, Guantanamo, Camp X-Ray, Abu Ghraib and clandestine CIA detention camps in Eastern Europe and many other places as well. These places were never visited by the UN boss and never opened to outside visitors. And to think, these places were set up to 'fight terror'.( More likely, to promote terror against innocent people who happened to be on the other side of the fence). The so-called 'war on terror' is full of hypocrisy and falsehoods and exists solely to benefit the continuation of Western hegemony. Nothing more.
