Categories Of Reports. Informational Reports Analytical Reports Proposals
Informational Report It offers data, facts, feedback and other types of
information, without analysis or recommendations. Informational reports are mainly used to : Monitor and control operations. Implement policies and procedures. Demonstrate compliance. Document progress.
Analytical Reports It offers both information and analysis, and they
can also include recommendations. Analytical reports are mainly used to : Assess opportunities Solve problems. Support decisions.
Proposals Proposals offer structured persuasion for internal
and external audience. Every proposal competes for something: Money Time Attention, etc
Three step writing process of reports PLAN Analyze the situation. Gather information. Select the right medium. Organize the information.
