Concept: Gender Issue: The male/female wage gap
More women go to college (university) than men but men still tend to make more money
Why is our issue important?
There is a great disparity between men’s and women’s wages, and this goes against the trend that is expected, since women go to college more often and people who go to college should make more money than those who don’t
How is our issue related to lifelong learning?
Participation in lifelong learning in the form of post-secondary education (namely university and college) SHOULD predict wage patterns in the workforce, but the opposite seems to be true
