6th Grade Portsmouth Waste Water Facility Field Trip The 6th grade class is spending Wednesday Morning December 10th, 2008 at the Pierce Island Waste Water Treatment Facility in Portsmouth NH. During this trip they will be outside and should dress for cold weather. The students will be touring inside and outside the plant with teacher chaperones who will accompany the students along with the Chief Plant Operator and Assistant Chief Plant Operator who will lead two groups. In early December it is appropriate to take precautions in dressing for cold wet weather. We recommend that students wear layered clothing, coats, hat, mittens and snow boots including long pants. Students may want to bring cameras. Please do NOT bring electronic devices. Cell phones should be turned off during the trip. Portsmouth Waste Water Field Trip Permission Form ________________________________ has permission to attend the field trip to Portsmouth Waste Water Facility at Pierce Island in Portsmouth NH on Wednesday, December 10th, 2008. I acknowledge that my child will be traveling by Berwick Academy bus, and that s/he will return to Berwick Academy in time for lunch.
