It is SAPESCO Policy to : 12-
Comply with all Safety, Health, and environment statutory requirements. Take all reasonable steps to ensure Safety and Health of all personnel working at the company designated areas.
3Take all reasonable steps to ensure Safe waste disposal and environmental control. 4Prevent injury, damage, and loss that might arise during operations and services 5-
Ensure that its sub-contractors abide by similar Safety Standards.
It is the duty of management, at all levels, to promote and maintain Safety in design, construction operation, maintenance and all services provided to all of our clients. Equally, all company employees must exercise a personal responsibility to prevent injury to themselves, their fellow workers or third party personnel, as well as, preventing loss to the company, client, or third party properties. SAPESCO in pursuance to this policy will : Furnish proper resources to ensure continuous supportive and competent advice on Safety, Health, and environment matters.

Provide formal training and on the job training on Safe working methods

Provide hygienic and healthy conditions for all of SAPESCO employees Continue to develop, implement, and apply appropriate equipment design codes and safety working procedures.

Maintain a system for reporting, controlling, monitoring and assessing Safety performance at work. Maintain and encourage joint consolation with all concerned on effective measures for the promotion of Safety at work.

4-2 JOURNEY MANAGEMENT POLICY It is SAPESCO Management objective to take all necessary measures to control vehicle movements, monitor driver performance, and reduce driven kilometers / exposure to risk. Besides, night driving should always be avoided / kept to minimal and this can be practically achieved in most cases through good planning prior to the job. 4-3 Smoking Policy Smoking Limitations 1Smoking is prohibited in the open area at all SAPESCO's work locations (yard, fields, bases... etc.) 2Smoking is prohibited nearby any flammable materials 3Smoking is not allowed in meetings / meeting rooms or training rooms. Smoking is not allowed in bedrooms. In SAPESCO provided accommodation.

2.1) Vehicles are travelling in safe (NON hazardous) open roads. 2.2) All vehicle passengers permit smoking inside the vehicle. 2.3) The vehicle is in sound condition provided with ashtra and fire extinguisher. 2.4) The vehicle carry's no flammable material of any kind (rather than its own originally designed and installed fuel tank). 2.5) The air condition is not working and windows are open.
4–4 ROAD SAFETY POLICY Driving is a dangerous job; therefore, SAPESCO Management enforce extensive team effort to raise staff awareness to ensure minimize the risk. SAPESCO is committed to continuously improve performance to guarantee that road safety goals are met. All journey rules as set out in Chapter 9 of this manual must be adhered to. All incidents / accidents must be reported immediately (Refer to Chapter 13 for reporting system and forms) and proper investigation must be carried out as per the investigation instructions in Chapter 17 Driving after darkness is absolutely forbidden in SAPESCO operations. Field supervisors and operations engineers are requested to ensure proper planning and liaison with client for each job to prevent driving at night. Emergencies related to rescue of company personnel or related to some unforeseen operational reasons might be excluded. A duly signed permit is; however, required in these cases and it is the full responsibility of field base manager to liaise with client representative to issue the required permit.
4–5 NATURALLY OCCURRING RADIO-ACTIVE MATERIAL (NORM) POLICY Mineral scale and deposits containing naturally occurring radio-active material (NORM) may be present within oil and gas drilling and production operations which needs a special care and attention from oil and gas operating companies and drilling rig crews. While performing our petroleum service activities the equipment and tools delivered into the well might be contaminated with minor deposits containing radioactive sources.

PRECAUTIONS: 1.
The specific instructions of the respective client shall strictly be adhered to.
2.
Continuous check up of the radiation limits and identifying of the affected zone followed by related instructions of the client representative shall strictly be followed by SAPESCO staff and sub-contractors.
3.
SAPESCO trained person will use SAPESCO's own radiation measurement apparatus (if available on spot) to double check the affected or likely to be affected area and inform SAPESCO team supervisor to take the necessary actions immediately.
4.
SAPESCO staff and contractors are NOT allowed to be present in radiation "supervised area" nor "controlled area" which the dose rate is likely to exceed 2.5 µSV/h (GAMA) and 7.5 µSV/h respectively unless is requested in writing by the representative client and following exactly the work permit precautions. Amongst these precautions is the wear of full protection clothes including special radiation coveralls, breathing apparatus, gloves, boots & helmets. The stay in the area shall never exceed the time identified in the work permit.

Equipment which may be contaminated with radioactive deposits (i.e. down hole equipment) shall be dealt with by special care and shall be cleaned using client decontamination facilities.

Further washing fluids at SAPESCO's workshop, shall be flushed carefully away to the specifically designed waste disposal sub-tank, which in turn shall be emptied and disposed off as per the governmental authorities guidance.
7.
All concerned staff shall (more frequently than normal) be medically checked up.
4–6 Alcohol & Drugs Policy Under no circumstances shall any of SAPESCO personnel have, part take of, be under the influence of, and shall not transport to, or have by any means in his / her possession on site, accommodation, offices SAPESCO Policies

or any location within SAPESCO's activities any drugs, alcohol or other similar intoxicating substances other than for bona fide medical reasons. In this case such patient shall always keep his prescription card and must not have in his possession more than the prescribed dosage. Any contravention / violation shall expose the responsible person(s) to sever disciplinary action in addition to the legal consequences.
4–7 Waste Management Policy The main target is that waste can be minimized and / or eliminated dependent on its type and available resources. SAPESCO management will take all possible measures to introduce effective and practical methods to achieve this target. Please refer to Chapter 6 item 6.9
4-8 Occupational Health Policy All employees shall be medically checked up before being recruited to be declared fit for the job.

Employees shall not be allowed to be exposed to hazards at limits higher than the allowable.

Every possible and reasonable effort shall be paid to reduce all work hazards below the minimum allowable standards. The company is committed to provide good food and drinks, at all work locations and ensure the availability of adequate, clean and hygienic toilets and washing facilities.
7.0
The living quarters standard of safety, health and hygiene shall be up to the related international standards and shall be inspected periodically.
8.0
Catering staff shall undergo periodic medical check up to ensure being fit for the job. A valid fitness certificate shall always be available.
9.0
Cold stores, and drinking water, of the yard and living quarters shall be inspected and tested periodically and at random to ensure suitability.
10.0
Toilets and sewage system and waste disposal system shall be periodically inspected to ensure being up to the relative standards. 11.0 Every possible effort shall be paid to minimize flies, and all types of insects and reptiles. 12.0 An adequate number of first aid boxes shall always be available at certain strategic locations containing the standard amounts of first aid materials including serum of snake bite, Every SAPESCO vehicle shall have one first aid box. I 3.0 At least one trained first aider shall always be available at the yard with the working group. 14.0 The company shall arrange and ensure the reliability of a causality evacuation procedure CCCAS VAC" in co-operation with clients. 15.0 The company shall provide medical treatment at the best available hospital in the Middle East and Europe (if necessary). 16.0 Sub-contractors have to establish and apply a system at the same standard.

SAPESCO has a policy to remove and scrap redundant assets and restore the environment to its original state, thereby removing residual pollution or threat of future contamination to ALARP levels.
