Actual Patrol Operation

Group 3 was assigned to do foot patrol in Phase 5 V&G subdivision and Barangay 95 Caibaan Tacloban City. As we went to our designated areas of responsibility, we used the ‘foot patrol operation’ type were it can penetrate areas which automobiles can’t go. The foot patrol operation takes more physicality compared to other types of patrol and is important in close observations. It is also helpful in getting information from the community because it involves interaction with the public. In Phase 5 V&G subdivision, we roamed the place on buddybuddy system using circular, double-back and zig-zag type operation on a (5) five to (10) ten minutes interval per pair of police officers. In Brgy. Caibaan, we roamed still on buddy-buddy system employing double-back type of operation on (5) five minutes interval per pair of police officers.
