 

The building will be provided with adequate drainage and vent system for sanitary waste as well as storm water from the roof and adequate cold Drainage and water supply system will be connected at the available site drainage through various Ducts. Supply pumps will be provided to potable system demands for all the buildings. These Pumps will be installed at basement in dedicated space to supply the water from Ground Level Water Tank to Overhead Water Tank. All Overhead Tanks will be installed with Float valve to control the Water Level & this will be interlock with Supply Pump to automatically Switch On/Off the Pump & to avoid Overflow of water. However this mechanism will be discussed only after approval from Owner/Architrect. P.R.V will be provided if pressure at connection point with the water supply system network at site exceeds 80 PSI. All Plumbing material like Elbows, Connectors, Joints, Valves, Water hammer arrestors etc will be finalized only after through design phase. A potable water line service connections from municipal which is connected to the Ground Level Water Tank & to Supply pumps will be provided with water meter in which the location is shown on Civil water supply system network drawing. Drainage system will be Gravity Type & shall be connected to #1 nos Septic Tank at the basement. All the Effluent from these Tanks will be then connected to Municiple Sewer System or to Drainfield at site to be decided cy Civil Engg Personnel. However wheter a Submersible Pump for Effluent Pumping is requird at site can be discussed further during design phase. Pipes material will be in uPVC, Sched. 40 for sanitary drainage / vent and storm drainage system. Pipes material will be in uPVC, Schedule 40, cPVC, Schedule 40 for cold & hot water supply systems respectively. Copper Piping with insulation for Hot water Supply can be discussed during design phase.

1.8 GRIHA REQUIREMENT IN PLUMBING SYSTEM.

In anticipation to aim Maximum points in Water Conservation, below are mandatory requirement in designing & implementing Plumbing services.

1. 14.1.3: Reduce water demand through selection of low-flow fixtures by 70% below the GRIHA base case – 4 points. 2. 15.1.3: Reduce landscape water demand by at least 50% from the GRIHA base case – 4 points. 3. 16.1.2: The STP installed on site meets the CPCB norms – 2 points.
