Pl Report For Exco - 07.11

PL Report for exco on 7.11.06 Pl find attachment 1 which are the coming legco issues for the next two weeks. The motions for this Wed are not controversial: (1) building management by Choy So Chuk with amendments from a number of legislators including Alan Leong (2) opening up of the air waves by Albert Chan. We intend to vote in favour of all originals and amendments. The motions for next Wed are also non-controversial (1) co-operation on development of pan pearl river delta (2) transport in relation to those with disability. There will be a hearing on Nov 13th for the kindergarten voucher system as proposed by the government and I have earlier sent to you the submission prepared by Annie Ki. Basically we suggest that it ought to be extended to profit making kindergartens as well. I am re-attaching this as attachment 2. If there are no adverse comments, this will be approved for submission on behalf of the party. As the legco members are meeting FS next week, please consider and let us have comments on the draft budget paper which have been sent to you and should be a separate item on the agenda. Audrey Eu
