Piercing the Veil of Reality The following are the excerpts from the satsangs or spontaneous lectures of the hierophant of the ONB. He is known as Sar Amen or simply Guruji to his local students. Many of them would spent long hours to hear the knowledge he transmits on varied topics regarding life, death, and whatever comes in between. The answers he gives to their queries are very practical and can be easily understood. The stories he tells show that he is both a man of wisdom and humor. Mysticism is never bereft of gladness; on the other hand, it is often an endless source of amusement and glee. The playwright Bernard Shaw once said "Hell is the place where you do nothing but amuse yourself." That life is perpetual misery is most felt by those who reflect on the nature of existence. No less than Chuang-Tzu, Taoist philosopher, aptly stated " the birth of a man is the birth of his sorrow. "Man, whether he is living in a palace or in a shanty, moves in a dark world of fleeting joys and constant pain. According to Mark Twain, "The man who is a pessimist before 48 knows too much; if he is an optimist after it, he knows to little." But man's sorrow springs from his utter ignorance of the wish-fulfilling Jewel inside him. The Kingdom of God is like a treasure hidden deep within mud whose luster could not be seen unless wiped by cloth, that is, meditation. We meditate because we need to see and partake of the glories of our hidden Inner Self. This has been the driving point of true authentic mystical schools as best exemplified by the Order of the Naga Brahmas. This has been what the hierophant constantly reiterates in his discourses to students of the ONB. With firm assurance he says though that, "The true hierophant, or guide or master is not here talking with you. He is within you whom you must seek through the earnest and diligent practice of meditation. God is nowhere to be found but within your heart. This is the essence of the teachings of all cosmic masters like Jesus who said "I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. (John 14:13)"

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE THE HIEROPHANT OF THE ORDER OF THE NAGA BRAHMAS? Well, being the Hierophant of this order entails selfless dedication to serve an untiring effort to surmount the problems that sometimes beset our organization. I have to make sure that the chelas or students receive proper guidance in thie mystical studies so that they won't get waylaid. The great masters are products of this school, so am I and so you are. Our tradition of esoteric techniques spans thousands of years, which remain essentially unchanged and only modified to suit the changes of time. Masters come and masters go, but the school remains. Whatever I have attained, I have achieved it by diligently practicing the teachings of the Order. I am no different from you nor are you different from me. A kindergarten pupil soon later knows that learning ABC is no different from learning calculus or quantum physics. It is just a question of time. Of patience. Of will to forego the joys of immediate passions. Soon the pupil too becomes a college student and eventually graduates upon passing all the requisite examinations and fulfilling the requirements of graduation. He now becomes a teacher or a manager of a company. That is true in life. That is true in mysticism. IF I AM RIGHT, THE WORD "HIEROPHANT" MEANS " REVEALER OF WISDOM". WHAT IS THIS KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU IMPART TO THE MEMBERS? I do not, in the strictest sense of the word, impart knowledge. No one can. Real knowledge comes from God and those who "know" are just channels or media of expression through which this KNOWLEDGE can freely flow. It is by the student's own endeavor that he /she becomes attuned to God-Consciousness, Absolute Truth or whatever you may call it. What is imparted rather are the techniques and exercises that would enable the student to have

such attunement. The order has its own repository of teachings handed down from the most sublime esoteric tradition. The satsang or lessons every month guide the chela in the arduous path of mysticism. These teach him/her how to SAFELY awaken the chakras or psychic/energy centers of man, how to acquire magnetic personality, how to develop creativity, how to become successful and at the same time how to attune with the music of the spheres, or, in Oriental parlance, the Shabd or the Logos, how to become a powerful healer through potent Naga healing methods, how to meditate and visualize effectively, and much, much more gnosis or wisdom duly given to those who are sincere enough in seeking the Path. WHAT IN ESSENCE IS A MYSTIC? A mystic to me is a master of life. But how do we master life - with all its relentless woes, momentary pleasures, and unsatisfied cravings? That is difficult thing to answer. It is what makes us human … to explore life's petty ordeals and intricate eccentricities and thereby find joys as well as pain, hope as well as despair. We are that. We have the choice to become what and who we aspire to be. Life is continuum. Life is a matter of choice. Choices have no end - that's why we make our own heaven and hell. But heaven and hell is a relative word. What we may be heaven to you, may be outrageous to another. Following the Middle Path, Maharishi Yogi has found heaven in between two toughts while an aspiring tantrik adept found it in between two legs. That is why there is evolution: the levels of our consciousness differ. The consciousness of a Buddha is so different from the consciousness of an ordinary person. That is why our interpretations of what reality is are so vast and different. We approach and interpret reality with the use of our sense perception. We are likened unto a man groping in the dark and, finding a rope, mistake it instead for a snake and frightfully flee. So fear and other negative emotions are simply products of our ignorance. When the light of knowledge dawns in, all fear and sorrow will be vanguished. A mystic thus is well aware of these intricate realities and endeavors to find the light and, having found, shares it with his fellowmen. He sees God's power - which is Love - in every creation. As Naga Brahmas members, we do not concern ourselves with crystal gazing, tarot cards, channeling, palm readings and other mumbo - jumbos of pseudo - mystics. Our question is: Did Jesus do that? Did Buddha do that? Did Zoroaster do that? The greatest masters that ever walked on earth only taught about how this ocean of samsara/illusion can be crossed. That is our main concern: To actually, personally, and experientally realize the divinity within us. That is what mysticism is all about. WHAT DIFFERENTIATES THE ONB FROM OTHER SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT/MYSTICISM? Our school, the ONB, is an advocate of TOTAL HUMAN FREEDOM. Freedom from what? Ignorance. Misery. Bigotry. How? Through the realization of our true, divine Self caged in this mortal body that is enslaved for so long by our illusions and desires. The ONB is neither a cult that engages in negative practices like mediumship, channeling, and other sophistries nor a religious organization that imposes strict moral standard and code of conduct. We believe that those who come to the portals of our Order are mature and responsible enough to distinguish the right from wrong, and therewith make the necessary FREE

choice. We put much value in man's free will which differentiates him from any other being in this universe. The objective of concentration in essence is to develop one's Will, subjecting all our emotions unto it. In life, if one has conquered his emotions, then half the battle is won. Without concentration and meditation training, this feat however is nowhere possible. Man, whose emotions are subject to his will, becomes master of this life. To master emotion and all bodily desires, one needs a strong WILL. And Will is developed and strengthened through the practice of concentration and meditation. WHAT BENEFITS COULD WE DERIVE FROM BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE ONB? If you had intently listened to the words I said or understood the words strung on the Naga Brahmas lessons, I assure you, you have been benefited. Your mind may not be aware but your soul surely had been well-fed. A kindergarten pupil, you see, does not know yet or can interpret the importance of learning ABC but, as adults, we all know the necessity of education in molding and, in fact, living this life. We do not say that membership to this Order will make you a better person than your neighbor or your boss or even the president. We do not say that you will be saved from your sins, as other religions would have us believe, thru mere membership to our Order. We do not say that you will become a saint, like Mother Theresa, or a miracle - prophet, like Moses, or a person of Solomonic wisdom (not to mention his wives), or an emperor like Napoleon Bonaparte, by just becoming our member. We do not say that your third eye will instantaneously be opened, or you'll be a hundred times richer, or the angels of God shall come upon you and sing you the glories of heaven by just becoming our member. We promise you no glories nor benefits. We can only say this: membership to our Order will open yourself to a myriad of possibilities. By acquiring the lessons, preserved and disseminated by our Order, you will have ready access to knowledge that is timeless and of universal application, which you can use to REALIZE ALL YOUR HEART'S DESIRE, for your own advantage. What I mean by "advantage" is that this knowledge is not known or possessed by majority of our fellow beings, not because they don't deserve it, but simply because they are not ready receive it nor do they make the necessary steps in acquiring it. Even Jesus had this to say to his personal disciples: "The secret of the Kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding (MarK 4:11-12)." Was Jesus then selfish? Definitely not. He knows for a fact how ordinary men trample on sacred jewels. Thus we can only say that you'll find gold if you make your own efforts in finding it. We do and must not rely on hearsay: we advocate and rely on PRACTICE. Religious fanatics may say that there is heaven and hell, spiritists may say that there are spirits - good and malevolent - interacting with us but are on other dimensions: what does that mean if even the one who says that such and such exists has not PERSONALLY SEEN this and that? That's a lot of nonsense. That's hearsay, which, though there may be some truth in it, cannot be totally relied upon. In the similar vein, the Naga Brahmas lessons may say that gold may be found herein and prescribe the appropriate and time - tested techniques but without diligently practicing these, you'll end up with tanso (bronze). So if you wish to obtain the maximum benefit, practice, meditate. If you look for miracles to happen so that you'll practice, I personally do say: look within your heart, that Miracle is waiting to reborn.

YOU TALKED ABOUT MEDITATION. WHY SHOULD WE MEDITATE? Actually, most of us are not yet meditating but are merely concentrating. Trying to concentrate, that is. Dhyana or meditation only follows when we have perfected the art of dharana or concentration. You may sit down for years and years but unless you are adept in concentrating, there is little hope of progress. This is why the Masters teach us one pointedness: we should focus our attention on whatever we are doing, be it menial or sacred tasks. We should train it to submit to our will. We should direct it and not the other way around. In the Bhagavad - Gida, the avatar Krishna tells Arjuna: "For the mind is restless, turbulent and obstinate/that to control it/is much harder than subduing the wind.' The mind is the worst master but the best servant. The ordinary mortal, according to modern science, merely uses one tenth of the mind's capacity. Through concentration and meditation, we can tap its utmost potential. And for the mind, there is neither time nor space. It knows to bounds. There are no boundaries It cannot cross, no space it cannot engulf, no depth it cannot fathom. It is the tool to Higher Consciousness. Once controlled and purified of all Samsara (Mental Impressions), only then can we see Reality hidden by the veil Maya(illusion) and freely commune with the Superconscious Mind. I'll relate to you a story in Zen Buddhism about the reality we see as it is how: "Two monks were arguing about a flag. One said: 'The flag is moving'. The other said: 'The wind is moving.' A zen master, who happened to be passing by, told them: 'Not the wind, not the flag; mind is moving.'" So, still your mind until you are no longer aware of its stillness. Only a pure hand can carry a pure cup of wine without trembling, without breaking the cup, without spoiling the wine. If you desire the Absolute, be worthy of that grace. Sit down and learn to meditate. If we truly love God, then we should devote some of our time in meditation, through which we can realize God's divinity within us; for Jesus has himself exhorted, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you." There is no other way of following God's command to "love Him with all your mind, with all your heart, with all your strength" than by meditation, in which our entire focus, our whole energy is centered on God. We should devote, thus, at least, 10% of our time to meditation - meaning, a day should not pass without meditating or praying for at least 2.4 hours. Meditation must become a habit, ingrained in our subconscious mind, so that even we are not aware, our body automatically meditates. COULD YOU THEN TEACH US HOW TO MEDITATE? I cannot delve deeply on that matter because it is revealed only to sincere spiritual seekers belonging to the Order. Meditation techniques haphazardly practiced and inappropriate to the individual are always fraught with dangers. An aspirant of mystical knowledge should seek proper guidance so that negative effects may be avoided. We cannot just rely on hearsay or books that teach these and that since NOT ALL can be written or verbally instructed. A blind man following a blind man will surely flounder. Here, in our Order, we make sure that each chela receives the meditation techniques

suitable to his/her temperament, personality, age and sex so that psychosomatic, emotional and mental disturbances maybe prevented as one awakens latent psychic/energy centers or chakras body. However, a very simple technique to energize our body and give us peace of mind is to visualize the heart as a ball of brilliant white light. Vividly feel that light to be the very imbodiment of joy, peace, purity, and power for about 5 - 15 minutes. Afterwards, make that light gradually grow bigger and bigger, three feet above, infront, at your back enclosing the whole room, then the community - - until it engulfs the whole world and then the whole universe. Feel all creations to be suffused with this light of peace, joy and harmony. After which, be passive for about 3-5 minutes and then pray to the God of your heart, thanking Him for all the blessings you have received in this lifetime. This technique, though it may seem simple and elementary has very beneficial effects on the practitioner. For one, it energizes and purifies the heart , through which the blood supply of our body passes. Hence, when the heart is vitalized, our blood likewise become purified and become infused with God - force. When the heart functions well, every cell and organ in our body likewise become energized. Mystics breathe a higher form of prana or ultra molecular Life - giving force which pervades and permeates all creation. It has been affirmed by clairvoyant vision that during meditation, the blood that passes in the heart of meditators has a brilliant and fully energized auric color/element which is far vitalized than that of ordinary person. By willfully radiating peace, joy and harmony to all creation we amass very good karma so that no matter how difficult our life circumstances may be, we can be sure that there will always be help and gifts along the way. Meditating on the heart makes our life become more vibrant and full of zeal. Meditating in the heart creates in us a very good aura that, in due time, people, whom we sometimes don't know, automatically confides their problem unto us and feel very muct at ease with our company. In Hindu mysticism, the goddess of wealth, Laksmi, is said to reside in the heart so that we attract fortune by meditating on it. Likewise, we come to know and understand the hearts of men by meditating on the heart and we easily attract, though not deliberately the attention of the opposite sex. It develops in us a magnetic personality - which could thus turn us into a St. John or a Don Juan! WHY DO WE FOCUS ON THE CENTER OF THE FOREHEAD DURING CONCENTRATION/MEDITATION? We focus on that point because it is a sort of "gateway" to the other "world" or dimension. It is at that point where our so-called "third-eye" is physically located. Some people however misconstrue it as something "negative" or word due to its degenerated use by certain "spiritual" cults. Of course, there is no way to restrict the use of said symbol as it is universal. In Sanskrit, it is called the ajna chakra. For most of us, this third eye is not yet opened; by opening this third eye we can "see" the same things we see and yet in another perspective. It's just like having an ultra-modern microscope through which we can see the true nature of things and everything around us. And what is the nature of everything around us? Energy. But why are things different from each other? Because energy has different vibratory levels. Light vibrates much faster than sound energy; and so is the vibratory rate of water much different from a rock or a chair. And how about Soul or spirit of God? Why don't we see them? Simply because we have not yet developed the "seeing faculty" that enable us to really see.

In the same way that with the physical eyes, we see physical or material things, with electron microscope we see atoms and electrons, so with the use of the "third eye" do we come to see the spiritual side of things. God is like a billion-watt energy while an ordinary mortal is simply like a 50-watt bulb. Can such ordinary person accommodate that extent energy? Of course not; he will be shattered to pieces. So the point is in order to attune to the God-force and comprehend Him, our body must vibrate at the same rate as that divine force. And that is not an impossible feat to accomplish. The goal of life is not simply to "go and multiply." God has other commandments, among which was spoken by the avatar Jesus: "Be ye perfect as thy Father in heaven is perfect." But how do we become perfect? By reading holy books? By hearing sermons? No way, man. Perfection comes through diligent practice. Practice of what? We could only point to the practices of the great masters of wisdom like Jesus, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Lao-Tzu, and others. How did these personages attained to that state of perfection? Their biographies only point to the fact that they all practiced meditation and acquired initiations from the authentic schools of wisdom. This is THEIR SECRET. These spiritual practices are secret and guarded with utmost zealousness. The aspiring students during those times had to undergo severe trials before being granted those secret meditation teachings. Why so? Because knowledge of these techniques awakens latent powers within man, like clairvoyance, invisibility, and the like; so that the Guardians of these teachings must make sure that whosoever receive them must treasure and use them for good purposes only. The Greek philosopher Plato, for instance, was denied three times in Egypt before being finally admitted to the outer portals of a mystery school. The knowledge of the Holy is something so sacred that it must not fall into the hands of the wicked. It was related that a drunken household in the palace of King Solomon got hold of a book wherein written were the divine names of the angels of God whom King Solomon invoked in his prayers. The said drunken man, not knowing that they pertain to the divine, read the book aloud and what happened was that he was stricken blind and lame by the blasphemy he uttered. Because the ajna is the channel through which one sees God, it is also the "eye" which "beholds" the true nature of the universe around us. It is no secret that normal human perception is very limited. There are sounds we cannot hear (but dogs and other animals can) and visual levels that are beyond the human range (we cannot see infrared and ultraviolet light). Mystics and scientists concur that the world, in its bare essence, is an undifferentiated mass of light. This universe is a vast field of energy or vibrations. You and I, all matter, all solids, liquids and gases are but manifestations of vibrating energy. This is confirmed by Einstein's famous equation: E=mc2. Energy ("E") and mass ("m" a measure of matter) are interchangeable, meaning that one can be converted into the other. The one and only constant in the equation is "c" - the speed of LIGHT. Light, of course, is a form of energy vibration, which is the fundamental character and composition of the universe. "Let there be Light! And there was light." As stated in Genesis 1:3, this was God's first command in the creation of the universe. With this command, He brought into being the structural essential of the universe: LIGHT. This same essence is also the medium through which God manifests. Both saints and common man who have "seen" God testify that He appeared as a Being of intense Light, or as a Being of Flame or Fire. In the Genesis, it is related that God appeared to Moses in a Burning Bush; likewise Jesus appeared to His disciples, during the transfiguration, as a being of light: "His face shone like the sun, and his

clothes became as white as the light. (Matthew 17:2)" Wasn't it said that "For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29)"? Even angels, ordinarily imagined to have human figure, appear "like lightning" that unready bodies tremble at their sight (Mark 28:3). Thus, one who has mastered the meditation on the spiritual eye perceives matter in its real form: light. In him, delusions concerning matter and its gravitational weight are destroyed. He also comes to perceive in his true essence. As stated in Matthew 6:22: "If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." Now, we come to one of the basic principles of mysticism: Energy follows thought. Thus, wherever you focus your thought, there your energy will be. If you focus on the Light of God, your life will be full of it. If you immerse yourself in dark ways, pain and suffering will follow you throughout. In essence, thought itself is energy. And thought energy is the most potent energy there is. It travels much faster than light: think of the sun and, instantly, you're there but light has to still reach it in a matter of seconds. Thus, the fundamental nature of energy itself is thought or consciousness. By altering our thought, we can affect our body's energy levels, we can attract wealth, we can attune to the Cosmic Mind or God consciousness. Hence, this stresses the need for meditation to purify our thoughts. Here you see the rationale behind visualizing and feeling one's self as a Body of Light and divine energy. Whatever you think, you become it - that's a basic tenet in mysticism. That is the idea behind the practice guru yoga or assumption of God-form. For just as you dip your finger into water, it then gets wet, so a fervent visualization of yourself as a Being of Light will transform you into That. WHAT IS THE USE OF "MANTRA" IN CONCENTRATION / MEDITATION? Going back, our teachings instruct us to focus on the forehead with the use of mantra. But what is a "mantra"? Mantra is a Sanskrit word which means "power words" that has efficacy not because of its meaning but because of the sound vibrations it produces. Sound you see can alter "reality" or our perception of reality. Take the case for example the soothing largos of Mozart or the classic chant of Gregorian monks - if you are sensitive enough, they create a certain atmosphere that somehow seem to elevate or awaken our spirituality and energize our body. Compare this with the discordant music of heavy/speed metal bands that rouses our passion for anger and exhaust us of our energies. So we see, sounds itself is POWER, which can be either negative or positive. Now with regard to mantras, there are mantras that are destructive and there are those that heal, energize our body, and lets us commune with the Divine. The Bible has ample examples how prophets like Moses made use of these mantras in working out "miracles," like the separation of the waters of the sea when they were fleeing from the pharaoh's army. God said, in King David's psalm, "I will protect him, for he acknowledges my Name. He will call upon me and I will answer him (91:14-15)." God is no different from His Name, that is why Jesus instructed his disciples, in the prayer Pater Noster (Our Father), to honor His Name. Hence, whosoever knows God's Name knows God Himself. God who is in the Beginning, as told in the Gospel of John, was but the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. This is the so-called lost "Lost Word" in esoteric Freemansonry, Shabd in Eastern Yoga, "music of the spheres" in Pythagorean mysticism, and Tetragrammaton (YHVH) in Kabbalah. The mantras used in our meditation are fragments of this Word uttered by God in creating the universe. They are of proven efficacy and enable us to commune with the Divine.

Chanting these mantras create a channel through which the God-force may descend upon us. If the center of the forehead or the third eye is the gateway to the Kingdom of God, which is within us (Luke 17:21), the mantra serves as the key to unlock it. I may add also, within the Order are mantras which we can use to instantly heal a person, ward off accident, purify our dross body and avoid untoward incident or bad psychic influences. These are revealed to the students in a gradual manner so that they may effectively and properly use them. WHAT IS KUNDALINI? In many mystical writings, a lot has been said about the kundalini shakti, or the so-called "Serpent Power." In fact, too much may have been said about the matter, resulting to a certain amount of confusion about what it really is. Indeed, what is it really? What is the kundalini shakti? In very simple terms, kundalini is a kind of energy, much like electricity and prana. It is energy of infinite power that everyone has. But in most people, the kundalini energy is in a latent or unawakened state. The goal of every chela is to awaken the sleeping kundalini within him. Whatever path the chela travels - whether it is the way of devotion or bhakti yoga, service or karma yoga, contemplation or jnana yoga, and a host of other paths - his end goal remains one and the same. Whether he knows it consciously or not, this end goal is the awakening of the kundalini. Like us in the present, mystics in times long past sought to rouse the kundalini. Among them were the ancient Egyptians, the Hopi Indians of the United States, certain Christian Gnostics, and of course, the very spiritual and scientific yogis of India. We in the Order of the Naga Brahmas are most fortunate, for passed down unto us by our noble forbears are highly potent esoteric techniques leading to the awakening of the kundalini. These techniques were guarded with the utmost zeal and secrecy throughout the ages, thus, when they are revealed unto you through our satsangs, an atitude of deep gratitude on your part is but appropriate. More importantly, you should demonstrate your worthiness by putting the techniques revealed into actual practice. In time, the diligent performance of the kundalini will produce wonderful results. The awakened kundalini destroys negativities such as disease and bad karma. It purifies both the gross physical body and the inner, subtler bodies of man. It gives physical health, emotional strength, mental poise and psychic abilities. It also greatly quickens one's spiritual evolution. Advanced kundalini yogis have been known to be able to enter a deep, meditative state called TANDRA. The experience brings true vision of non - physical worlds, of faraway lands and distant galaxies. It also gives visions of microscopic realms, enabling the chela to observe the working of tissues and cells inside his body, and even the movements of atoms and of prana. In time, the practice of kundalini yoga also helps develop powers of healing, clairvoyance, prophecy, past life recall, and other psychic abilities. Equally important, the kundalini yogi develops a new zest for life. He becomes more enthusiastic, more cheerful, friendlier, and more compassionate. He begins to see everything and everyone around him in their

essence. That is, he perceives all things to be manifestation of the divine. He feels the presence of God everywhere, and this imbues him with great joy and deep peace. Truly, the benefits of awakening the kundalini are great and many. But ironically, there exist in the mind of some people a fear for it. Even some chelas believe that the kundalini is a dangerous force. They assume that to awaken it is to play with fire. This is absolute nonsense. Writers and so-called mystics who assert that kundalini is dangerous do not know what they are talking about. They speak not from experience but from hearsay and their own imaginings. True, certain highly evolved Adepts in the Himalayan regions have discouraged some people from kundalini practice. The reason for this is that, those people are not ready for it. They are merely thrill seekers whom the Masters wished to send away. An effective way to get rid of them is to warn them that the knowledge they seek is dangerous. But when these people, who are not serious students, came back to their own places, they started spreading the lie that kundalini practice is indeed hazardous. What you, fraters and sorores, should bear in mind is that all of our Order's teachings and practices are authentic and time-tested. When followed as instructed, no harm of any kind will result. The satsangs are ordered in a manner that gradually and safely prepares the chela for great spiritual attainments. With this in mind, I urge everyone to be diligent in his practice. Daily without miss, perform dhyana and sadhana. The way to illumination is through persistent practice. WHAT REALLY IS THIS SAMADHI OR ILLUMINATION WHICH A PERSON MAY ATTAIN THROUGH MEDITATION? Nowadays, it is not uncommon to find esoteric words misinterpreted and to the extreme, desecrated. Only an in-depth study coupled with burning interest and unbiased attitude, if not actual affiliation with an authentic school, can enlighten the confused aspirant. The term samadhi is one of the most sacred in India. Literally, it means attunement with the higher levels of consciousness or God-consciousness. Before an understanding of the word can ensue, we look into the categories of consciousness in the mortal realm. First, there is the world of objective awareness composed of our sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste with the brain acting as assimilator or controller. Second, there is the subjective level of awareness wherein one can recollect previous experiences and form new realities with the aid of the imagination and databank of memories, as in daydreaming. When one daydreams, he strings up one after another of some desired or remembered thing, place, or event. Third, there is the great subconscious mind which is the storehouse of memory, containing even the record of previous lives. It is the habitation of the psychic and spiritual planes. Finally, there is the great unconscious which goes well into and beyond the cosmic realm. It is where the Great Masters dwell and attain liberation. Samadhi has various levels. This is what Jesus meant when He said that "In my Father's house, there are many mansions." Truly, a thousand-and-one heavenworlds make up the Kingdom of God.

At the initial level, the practitioner achieves a samadhi of joy. This experience of joy within comes only after a number of years of meditation. But do not be deceived for this is only the first door to the gateway of heaven. It is lower bliss. The next level is the awareness of sound. The meditator hears the sound of insects, bells, violins in what is termed music of spheres of Pythagorean mysticism. The meditator must try to attain the level of the sound of many waters or roaring ocean, and deeper, into the sound of strings and haunting flutes until he reaches the realm of the soundless sound. However, this is not yet the end goal. Another level of samadhi is awareness of brilliant colors. This can vary from dots to flashes of lightning, from blue and white to golden and colorless. The beautiful, phosphorescent arrangement of colors is often mistaken for the human aura. But again, this level must be transcended. The samadhi of vision follows. This is the level where one comes into contact and communes with the forms of Saints and Masters of the past and of the present. It lifts the veils of time and space and prophets visionaries receive their gift of prophecy and knowledge of the secrets of the hearts of mortal men, even the secrets of the universe. The state reached is characterized by immobility. Visions of both sound and light render practitioners motionless, though some others more advanced are able to retain their objective consciousness, going about things in the usual manner. This samadhi plane is labeled in India and Naga schools across seas as savikalpa samadhi, alluded to as "samadhi with thorn." When no form, sounds or colors are experienced, when Divine Joy and Perfect Love are felt instead, attunement with the harmony of the Masters, the meditator is into the samadhi of what is termed in the West as The Great Harmony and in the East as prema samadhi. Occasionally, the feelings are accompanied by visions. Many Bairavi in India or worshippers of form reach up to this level of divine communion wherein they become at one with the living creation we call the universe. When the time comes that the practitioner tires of visions, blessing, and powers, it is then that he enters into a level of samadhi called Formless Attunement. He comes into contact with the Causeless Cause. Only the truly prepared Naga initiate attains to this level. We reiterate: " When the student is ready, the Master will appear." When all the chakras or psychic centers are fully functional such that the student completely abandons all delusions and illusions concerning the path, when all costs have been counted, when all attachments have been severed, the Master, a true cosmic one, will initiate the deserving aspirant in the cosmic levels in the Invisible Sanctuary of the Nagas. If it ever occurs in the physical plane it is because of exceptionally good karma, as in the case of Ramakrishna Paramahansa who was initiated by Totapuri. Ramakrishna was wholly purified of the dross of matter and entered atsilut, a state beyond the Supernal Triad and Kether of the Kabbalists where power, wisdom and compassion are one in a formless or boundless state. This is called nirvikalpa samadhi. A being fixed at this level sits immobile for days, even months. Usually, divine karma intervenes because, unless forced to return to normal consciousness and eat, the practitioner might die and leave his body in twenty - one days. It is method utilized by Naga Masters when they wish to cease earthly life and enter nirvana or heaven. They swoon into states unknown even to their highest initiates. Upon mastery of nirvikalpa, whereby an initiate enters it at will to commune therein anytime

he so chooses and then returns to objective reality as readily, he scales the succeeding level: sahaja samadhi. Herein resides the just men made perfect - perfect throughout earthly existence. Some of the highest Masters of the Brotherhood are of this designation although unapparent to critical mortal eyes because these Beings lead normal lives, with "feet on the ground, and head in the realms of heaven." These Adepts live for 100 to 140 years, a goal set for every aspirant in this life, if not in a future life. IF THIS IS THE LAST TIME WE TALK, WHAT COULD BE YOUR FINAL MESSAGE? As your cassette tape recorder is running out (laughs), our time is also running out. Everywhere we go, we find suffering. The hideous face of death lurks somewhere upon us. As a Spanish proverb goes: "Every step you make is a step nearer to the grave." Thus, we should never waste our time on idle matters. There is not enough time left to fiddle with the world. Whatever lesson we failed to learn in this world, whatever debt we did not pay our creditors, whatever service we dared not render to the least of our brethren is sure to be flung back to us - perhaps in this lifetime or in the next lifetimes. The same sufferings? The same fleeting joys? Who can escape Kal, the Negative Power, which wields its hegemony over this region? YOU. You can escape this karmic bondage if and if and only if you use your WILL, if and only if you are determined enough and sincere enough to rise above this tumultuous world. A mystery school is always afforded to man suitable and appropriate to the level of his spiritual development. The way of the Masters is always different from the way of the savages. Man is here to learn the greatest value of human existence, which is to realize the Divinity that slumbers within one's self. And it is only in this human incarnation that one has the opportunity to merge with the Absolute One. That's why even the highest of all devas and angelic host may have a reason to envy man. Man crawls and kisses that dirt but he can soar up the sky to immerse himself in the Light Divine. Man crawls since it is the easiest way of learning to endure life's pains in preparation for his flight beyond the ethereal sky. The avatar Krishna once said: "Ignorance is the cause of thy bondage, knowledge is the cause of thy liberation." The Wings of Knowledge is duly given to those who are prepared to fly and take the upward Path of satchitananda - Truth, Existence, Bliss. ARE THERE REALLY COSMIC MASTERS? WHERE ARE THEY? DO THEY PHYSICALLY EXIST? HOW CAN WE FIND OUR OWN MASTERS OR GURU? Many students on the Path often ask: Who are the Masters? If they are truly the guardians and teachers of humanity, where are they? They seem to be away from the world of mortality, do they really exist? This notion of inaccessibility makes the students believe that Masters do not exist and instead are mere fantasies or figments of imaginations of mystics. Let us be clarified. Since the dawn of creation, there existed beings whose fire or urge to know blazed brilliantly in their hearts. They are humankind's exemplary mortals who aspired to go beyond mediocrity and dared to pierce the mysteries of self, existence and the universe. Their hardihood was not without tests and bludgeonings. But through ancient suffering, trials and tribulations, as well as joys and solace, they

achieved the knowledge that enabled them to master their lives and environment. These are the khawajagans, the Illumined Nagas, the Adepts! As they lived , mingled with the rest of the earth's residents, each one recognized his kind. They called themselves brethren and bonded together into groups called mystery schools which later produced what is now known as the Great White Brotherhood. They are the conservators, protectors, and revelators of the accumulated knowledge of humanity throughout aeons of time. In modern times, they are the chohans (masters) and hierophants of the different authentic initiatory schools, the highest of which is the ancient institutions of learning that spilled over their work in the modern era and through which the Masters of Wisdom operate include schools such as the Order of the Flame, the Essene Brotherhood, the Nazarene or Nazarite Brotherhood, Order Rosae Crucis, the Pythagorean school, the Hussamarians, and the order of the Naga Brahmas. All sincere seekers, if desirous of access to the true knowledge and wisdom of the ages, must seek to belong to at least one of these authentic schools. Where can we meet the Masters? It can only be beyond the delusory, physical and astral planes, in the higher spheres of consciousness where illusion and deception are non-existent. The eventuality of the meeting happens after a lengthy period of fealty to the earthly school to which one belongs and devoted observance of his duties as aspirant. At any hour during the day or night when the body is in repose, suddenly the inner man is freed and enters the borderline state. He becomes initiated into the mysteries of the Great White Brotherhood School, and from then on, is a member of unseen yet infinitely powerful esoteric brotherhood under the guidance of a just and perfect, liberated Cosmic Master. Sometimes, it may come to pass that the student, after years of practice and service, may meet his master physically. This can only be due to very good karma and grace of the Master. Modern day students have the mistaken idea that the rampant teachers garbed in their flowing orange and white robes and enigmatic-looking beards and mustache under handsome turbans from India and the strange byways of the Orient are the genuine gurus. To be frank and honest, they are not! No true Adept will proselyte himself as a perfect master, traveling around the globe proclaiming himself as the chosen one. This incites us to rectify the wrongly interpreted saying: "When the students is ready, the Master will come." The key to understanding is in the word "ready." One cannot just open a book on the address of the nowadays-physical business gurus, seek them out to apply and be accepted as student. Surely, anything as nonsensical as this cannot be the implication to such injunction! Readiness, in mystical phraseology, means having progressed through dedicated study, mediation, and application of spiritual practices such that one has become imbued with and dyed in the color of teachings spanning many years, nay, many incarnations, to be more precise. Unless this degree of development is reached, one is never truly 'ready' to meet the true Cosmic Masters. The Masters seldom leave abode. If they do so, they travel incognito. Contact comes only after years of lengthy practice and hard work and occurs singularly in the cosmic plane, as has been so substantiated by the more advance initiates of the Order of the Naga Brahmans. Needless to say, in assisting with the human progress, there are Adepts who live among mortals. They do not wear some exotic form of dress: they do not take on outlandish occupations. Rather, they ply their task in a manner as do the more ordinary members of

humanity, although to amore exalted measure, because they are the Unselfish Workers of humanity. They are the scientists, the inventors, the artist, and the musicians - untiring creative beings working for God and humanity with neither remuneration nor expectancy of anything in return for service gladly given. From history books, we glean interesting accounts on the self-sacrificing humanitarians. As young students on the Path, do not be misled into thinking that the Masters work only along spiritual fields. Each Adept has his own mission in life and after illumination and cosmic consciousness, some of them, in the spirit of rehabilitating humanity, work along areas of art, music, medicine, and the sciences. Remember that any contribution in these fields means the transformation of mankind one step forward in its evolution. All these Masters will appear as ordinary mortals. They will not wear long robes or bizarre clothes, sandals or ornaments. They will not speak in strange tongues. Yet they will be distinguished by that subtle magnetic and spiritual influence they exude. They will further be differentiated from others by their masterful handling of their lives and work. In short, they will really be powerful prodigies of learning much ahead of their time. THEY KNOW GOD AND HIS LAWS, AND MAN, AND NATURE. One does not have to visit the remote summit or jungles of Tibet and other parts of the Himalayas in order to meet these Masters of Wisdom. They may just be one's neighbors. And one may meet when at least expects it! When the students is ready! WHO IS JESUS CHRIST? IS HE TRULY AN INCARNATION O F GOD, AN AVATAR? IS HE COMING BACK? Since the ancient times the mystery of Christ's incarnation has been the discussion not only of many theologians, and mystics but also of powerful sages and masters of wisdom. He is known to be the teacher of angels and men. Every beginning of an age this supreme being of light incarnates in flesh to give new teaching and dispensation to earth visible and invisible, but really who is he? To get a glimpse of Him, only a glimpse, for even the Highest Masters are barely able to comprehend His being! How much more are we? Let us go back to the ancient Hebraic esoteric teachings of the Kabbalah wherein it states that there are three inconceivable orders of the Most High and nine conceivable which are named in order of emanations as: the Seraphims, cherubims, thrones, dominations, powers, virtues, principalities, archangels, angels - man being not considered as a permanent consciousness but a transitory stage. Looking at our teaching of nirguna and saguna one can see that the three highest aspects of Godhead are the Triune Absolutes. The nine are the saguna aspects or the crystallized and personal aspects of Godhead. But let us be clarified that "Jesus" is different from "Christ" because the former refers to the persona who existed in Bethlehem two thousand years ago while the latter refers to the Divine Consciousness which can be accessed and made manifest among highly advanced adepts. "Christ" consciousness therefore is no different from "Buddha" consciousness. However, they are distinct in the way that "Christ" and "Buddhic" consciousness are two different "offices" in the Divine Hierarchy. Christ consciousness dawned on Jesus - during the baptism in the River Jordan by John the

Baptist - after some painstaking years of soul-searching, meditation, and initiations he went through in various temples and schools of India, Himalayas, and Egypt, in the same way that Siddhartha Gautama attained illumination while meditating under the Bo tree, by virtue of which he was later called Buddha or the "Enlightened One". Thus, Jesus has been erstwhile said as the Christ or the "Anointed One". Consider the beginning statement of the Gospel of John, which states: "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God…and was and made flesh and dwelt among men." This word that was made flesh was the Saguna aspect. In our teachings the Nirguna is composed of the highest aspects of paramatma and mahaprana while the Saguna aspect is composed of prana merged with prakriti. In ancient times the Word merged with Absolute is called the Logos or pneuma in Greek while the Saguna is the avataras, Anointed One or incarnate Logos. So Christ is that absolute Being unmanifest inconceivable, unfathomable and invisible, that incarnates, every beginning of an age if there is a qualified advanced adept to manifest Him visibly. History relates that most of His manifestation concerns being born of a virgin named Devaki, Buddha came from the virgin Maya, Quetzacoatl was immaculately conceived also like many more Christ beings sent to earth. We can see that there must be a vehicle, a pure and supremely evolved Master of Wisdom for Christ to manifest. Christ consciousness, therefore, is an office or an attainment of the Highest aspect of Cosmic Consciousness, and we human must rejoice for indeed, it is a very good news and a greatest hope that we insignificant creatures called Homo Sapiens can have access to this glorious Being or Consciousness and even be one with Him. To the question then if Jesus coming back - that is already moot and academic: when you meditate and shall have attained samadhi or cosmic illumination, then Christ has been made manifest in you. Christ is ALREADY HERE - He has never left! You just have to REALIZE IT! This is what Jesus meant when he said that "…on that day (meaning, on the moment of illumination) you will know that I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you." Let me end this dissertation with a quotation from the Aquarian Gospel of Jesus by Eliphas Levi: "And here it was that One, the Prince of Peace, the King of Salem came; the Christ in human form; a greater far than Abraham was he. And here it was that Abraham gave to this King of Salem, tithes all he had. This Prince of Peace went forth in battle everywhere. He had no weapons of offence. And yet he conquered men, and nations trembled in his feet. The host of Egypt quailed before this sturdy king of right; the king of Egypt placed their crowns upon his head. And gave into his hands the scepter of all Egypt land, and not a drop of blood was shed, and not a captive placed in chains; But everywhere the conqueror threw wide the prison doors open and set the captives free. And once again the Prince of Peace has come, and from these blessed hills he goes again to fight. And he is clothed in white, his sword is truth, his shield is faith; his helmet is innocence, his breath is love; his watchword is peace. But this is not a carnal war; it is not man at war with man; but it is right against wrong. And love is the captain, love is the warrior, love is the armor, love is all, love shall win.

And then again the hills of Bethlehem were clothed with light; and again the messenger exclaimed, PEACE, PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TO ALL MEN."
