_______/_______(25 points) Objective o I have created a series of four or more photograms that are compositionally unified together by use of a visual pathway. o I have considered a thematic connection between my objects to help unify my series conceptually. o I have used only high-quality, well-printed exposures to create my final series. Comments: _______/_______(25 points) Design o Each of my photogram exposures demonstrate the following compositional considerations: o My objects touch and go off the edges of at least two or more sides of the format so they can be connected. o I have avoided “filling” the format, but instead carefully arranged my objects to create a balance of both positive and negative space. o My objects are a variety of sizes to establish contrast and interesting space. o I have overlapped my objects to create more interesting and unique shapes. o I have elegantly connected each of my exposures together to illustrate a visual pathway and unify my series. Comments: _______/_______(25 points) Darkroom Skills & Techniques o Each of my prints has a wide range of value, blackest blacks, whitest whites, and a wide range of middle grays. o My final prints demonstrate effective exposure techniques, each have a wide range of values, sharp details, and demonstrate creation and analysis of a test strip. o I have used additional darkroom equipment such as glass easels to more clearly expose my flat objects where necessary. o I have demonstrated effective use of all darkroom chemistry and processes when making each of my prints. o I have demonstrated at least one of the following experimental printing techniques in my final series: -Contact printing (inverting black and white values from a negative to a positive) -Multiple exposure (moving and exposing objects more than once on the same piece of photo paper) -Experimental overlapping (layering objects/imagery in unique or interesting ways) Comments: _______/_______(25 points) Presentation & Craftsmanship o Each of my prints demonstrates care and craftsmanship in its creation. I have avoided any unwanted marks, chemical stains, scratches, dust, or other distracting elements when making my final prints. o I have carefully trimmed each of my final prints to have clean, straight edges, and joined them by carefully taping their backs together. o Extra credit! (5 points) I have effectively matted each of my final prints by carefully adhering them onto contrasting black or white matte board. Comments:
