Scope and Sequence of Course Content: Semester One: 1. Review Basic Concepts as follows: a. Basic understanding: aperture and shutter speed b. Exposure…Under and Over c. Using chemicals in the darkroom d. Basic 35mm camera operation e. Aperture and depth of field f. Shutter speed and motion control g. Loading film/ using a light meter h. Film development i. Making an enlargement j. Burning and Dodging k. 10 secrets of successful photography l. Critique guidelines 2. Equivalent exposures 3. Bracketing 4. Studio lighting/ Portraiture Semester Two: 1. Lens types 2. Zone focusing 3. Hand-coloring 4. Introduction to Adobe Photoshop 5. Print Finishing

Materials: E= Essential materials. These are low cost items that will be required each day. O= Optional materials. These are useful, but NOT required items.
