NOTES Process: 1) Take an honest look at where you are right now, start with all the positive things about your current situation, then the negatives and finally what key learnings you can take away from both. Then stop worrying about the past – you can’t change it! 2) Imagine a new future within 2 years – what would you have liked to have achieved by then. Imagine looking back over the (then) last 2 years – what were the high points. Describe this future with real, tangible, measurable goals. 3) Thinking about this future, what new skills, capabilities or knowledge would you need for it to be a reality – write these down. 4) Then think about how you would acquires these – what kind of plans would you need to make this all real, are there significant milestones along the way – write these down too 5) Finally, what are the first steps in the plan, what is stopping you from making a start today, or what are the logical first steps – plan to take some real actions in the first 30 days, 90 days and so on. Learn from the past  visualise the future  work out what is needed  how to get it  take action! •

Be honest with yourself and don’t try to be someone you’re not – be true to yourself!

Don’t put too much time into making it tidy

Talk about it with someone you trust and then arrange with them to review your progress regularly.
