Attention: Peripheral Neuropathy Sufferers! Revolutionary Treatment Proven to be 95% Effective in Reducing and even REVERSING Pain and Numbness Common to Neuropathy! Diabetes Today, the journal for the American Diabetes Association describes the ReBuilder as "...real medical treatment with lasting results". If you suffer from neuropathy, you are not alone. It is estimated that upwards of 20 million Americans suffer from this illness and are searching for a cure. It can occur at any age, but is more common among older adults. A l999 survey found that 8-9% of Medicare recipients have peripheral neuropathy as their primary or secondary diagnosis.* It affects nearly 60 percent of the estimated 21 million diabetes sufferers in the United States.* Currently the AMA (American Medical Association) maintains that no medical treatment is an actual cure for neuropathy. This may be about to change. * Medical Product News - January 11, 2006
What is Neuropathy? Neuropathy is defined as a disease (pathos) of the nerves (neuro). Many symptoms are grouped together in the catch-all diagnosis. Whether it is called idiopathic (which means we don’t know the cause) or diabetic peripheral (associated with diabetes), or poly neuropathy (which means “in many places”), whatever the form, they all have a common cause. The nerves have gone to “sleep” because they have been deprived of oxygen (anoxia). The basic cause is all the same. Portions of your nerves were starved for oxygen. They responded with the only survival tool they had: they shriveled themselves inward, reducing their length to conserve energy, and the gaps between the nerves were stretched to the point that a normal sized nerve signal could no longer jump this gap. Like the gap on the spark plug in your car, if that gap gets too big, the spark cannot jump across. This increased gap, like the spark plug that has too big a gap, made it difficult for normal nerve impulses to pass from one nerve to the other. This means that some of the impulses accumulated until they were big enough to violently jump the gap. You may have felt this as a shooting pain. These blocked nerve signals are often perceived as numbness. Without proper connection to your brain, the blood vessels in your skin respond unpredictably and this can be perceived as burning or tingling.
What causes lack of oxygen (anoxia)? Temporary lack of oxygen to the nerves can be caused by many different things:
•
Diabetes. Conditions are thought to result from diabetic microvascular injury and inflammation involving small blood vessels that supply nerves.
•
Inflammations in the lower back which reduces blood flow to the nerves in the spinal column.
•
Dramatic changes in glucose and insulin in the blood (diabetes) that displace oxygen.
•
Side effects from drugs such as those for cholesterol, blood pressure, and arthritis that change the metabolism of the nerves, thus altering the way they use oxygen. (Pravachol) (Amytriptyline)
•
Toxins like agent Orange, cleaning solvents, and other environmental toxins that have a lot of free radicals that makes oxygen unusable.
•
Chemotherapy that affects cancer and other fast growing or functioning cells like hair and nerves.
•
Sciatic nerve entrapment (piriformis entrapment) caused from aging, muscles losing tone (becoming ropy or sinewy), and sitting too long in one position putting pressure on the sciatic nerve or its blood supply.
•
Repeated trauma such as frostbite, standing on concrete, or accidents that change blood supply to the nerves.
•
Surgery complications.
•
Food Allergies. Especially the sweetener Aspartame. This is very toxic to the body, including nerves and brain. As it metabolizes in the body, it transforms into Wood alcohol. Dr. Russell L. Blaylock, a professor of neurosurgery at the Medical University of Mississippi, recently published a book thoroughly detailing the damage that is caused by the ingestion of aspartic acid from aspartame. Blaylock makes use of almost 500 scientific references to show how aspartic acid and glutamic acid in our food supply are causing serious chronic neurological disorders and a myriad of other acute symptoms. See www.russellblaylockmd.com
Is there a Cure for Neuropathy? As mentioned above, the generally accepted and official position of the AMA is “No”. Current practices are to use drugs to simply block pain. The sad irony is, this in itself may actually worsen the condition being treated. Like most drug usage, this is simply “band aid” approach, not at all addressing the true cause(s) of neuropathy.
•
Medications include Duloxetine hydrochloride (Cymbalta®), which has been approved by the FDA to treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Common side effects include constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness and hot flashes. Although anticonvulsants such as gabapentin (Neurontin®) and topiramate (Topamax®) and antidepressants such as amitriptyline (Elavil®) are not approved by the FDA to treat neuropathy, though they are often prescribed to treat this condition. Side effects of these drugs include drowsiness, dizziness, low blood pressure, and fatigue. Other medications include anticonvulsants (e.g., carbamazepine [Tegretol®], lamotrigine [Lamictal®]), local anesthetics (e.g., lidocaine [Xylocaine®]), and antiarrhythmics (e.g., mexiletine [Mexitil®]). Anticonvulsants may cause low white blood cell counts, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Side effects of lidocaine and mexiletine include nervousness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, and double vision.
•
Injection Therapy involves injecting a nerve block (e.g., lidocaine) into the area surrounding affected nerves, preventing the nerve from carrying impulses to the brain and temporarily reducing symptoms. Injection therapy is often used with other treatments (e.g., medication, physical therapy).
•
Other Treatments Discontinuing medication and exposure to the substance may eliminate neuropathy caused by medication and toxins.
•
Physical therapy (e.g., exercise, massage, heat) and acupuncture (i.e., insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body) may be used to treat symptoms. Provided by www.neurologychannel.com
Neuropathy - What Can Be Done? With neuropathy, it has been demonstrated that what is needed is a larger signal that can cross this synaptic junction, minerals (electrolytes) to make the synaptic fluid more electrically conductive, stronger calf muscles to help local blood flow, and immediate pain relief from the release of natural endorphins from the brain. Enter The Rebuilder The ReBuilder system is a self administered treatment that can be done in the comfort of your home. It will stop the pain, numbness, burning sensation, and pins and needles sensations that affect the quality of life. Unlike common TENS devices that merely block pain signals, the ReBuilder does the opposite... the ReBuilder opens up the nerve paths and re-educates them so that
normal signals can finally get through. The increase in blood flow from the ReBuilder causes muscle contractions and actual healing can be accomplished… not just masking pain. The ReBuilder system’s unique electrical stimulation has been proven 95% effective in reducing or even reversing the symptoms of neuropathy! The ReBuilder sends a tiny electrical signal (10 times larger than normal) that exactly imitates a healthy nerve signal from one foot to the other, 7.83 times each second. This signal moves from the right foot, up to the ankle, to the knee, to the thigh, and then across the lower back. It then moves down the left thigh, pass the left knee, all the way to the left foot. Then it reverses its direction sending it's signal from the left foot all the way to the right foot. Between each signal, The Rebuilder measures the integrity of your nerves and adjusts the parameters of the next signal to exactly match your particular body and it’s response to the signal. This wakes up all the nerves in the entire lower half of your body and re-educates the nerve paths so that subsequent normal signals can get through and can follow the right path to the brain. These healthy signals encourage the nerve cells that have shrunk from lack of oxygen to relax and reach out to one another making it easier for subsequent normal signals to work properly. The result of using the ReBuilder is that victims generally feel total relief during the 30 minute treatment, then significant relief for 4 to 8 hours afterward. The benefits accumulate with each treatment, so it lasts longer each time.
Proven helpful for: - neuropathy - Peripheral neuropathy - Peripheral artery disease - Diabetic peripheral - MS - Restless leg syndrome - Sciatica - Piriformis entrapment - CIDP - Stroke rehabilitation - Diabetic skin ulcers - Intermittant Claudication - Leg and foot pain - Chronic pain - Edema - Carpel tunnel syndrome - Charcot Marie Tooth - Lower back pain - RSD - "Wallet" neuropathy
At the same time that this is happening, your ReBuilder is sending comfortable signals to your calve muscles causing them to contract and relax. This causes the venous muscle pump to propel blood back up to the heart. This helps rehabilitate and strengthen your leg muscles and increases the blood supply so you can walk further, with more confidence, in more comfort, and without the fear of tripping or falling. The ReBuilder even has a separate muscle stimulation setting available to really strengthen your muscles after you have repaired your nerve function.
It is also important to mention that most patients report that their ReBuilder treatment helps them have a full night's sleep without drugs. If you are a current sufferer, you know personally how distracting the pain can be while trying to rest.
FDA Registered - Ask Your Doctor for a Prescription! The ReBuilder is FDA registered, Medicare approved, and is certified by the American Association of Emerging Technologies to comply with the guidelines outlined by the American Medical Association for clinically reliable medical equipment. The FDA groups the ReBuilder with EMS (electronic muscle stimulator) and TENS (Transcuraneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) devices. However, unlike common TENS devices that merely block pain signals, the ReBuilder does the opposite: the ReBuilder opens up the nerve paths, reeducating them to transmit normal nerve signals to the brain. There are currently over 150 hospitals, clinics and physician's offices who offer ReBuilder treatments, including the Cleveland Clinic.
Here’s What One Board Certified Neurologist Has to Say: I now prescribe the ReBuilder™ routinely. Of the 20 patients in my practice who have used the ReBuilder™, all but one have experienced significant relief. Six patients were diagnosed with ideopathic neuropathy, 7 were diagnosed with impingement syndrome in the lower back or buttocks, and 6 suffered from diabetes. The one who did not respond suffers from long term uncontrolled diabetes and has the "stocking feet" dark discoloration of his ankles and feet and has periodic glucose levels exceeding 500, with an AIC of 13. - submitted by B.D.Cowan, MD See Dr. Cowan’s entire letter here: www.peripheralneuropathytreatments.com
