Each year, Mentors are required to attend at least 4 hours of Resolution Meetings or Training per year. Mentors will introduce themselves to the Mentee’s family (parents), guardian, & guidance counselor Mentors are obligated to communicate verbally with their Mentees at least once every 2 weeks or (2 hours per month) and maintain written communications (snail mail/email) with their Mentees. Occasionally, with permission of Mentee’s family/guardian, Mentors may choose to invite Mentees to their homes during long weekends, holidays, or vacations. Should Mentors face any issues that cannot be resolved on their own (i.e. suicide, health problems, substance abuse, breaking of school rules, etc.), Mentors are required to bring them up to the SOP Committee.
