37 Controversy: A hostage returns… With a volley of question for the society that we are in
The write up on ‘Flying Saucer’ or UFO by Madhuparna Bhattacharjee reminded me of mid 70s when a fairly good number of news used to appear in various newspapers and magazines on UFOs. UFOs really existed or was just the imagination of the author is difficult to say, but as children those days our eyes every evening used to be towards the skies to have a sight of one. I do not know how, but somehow we knew that these objects do not belong to the earth, they come from other planets, weather it was true or false it was difficult to say. Ms. Bhattacharjee has tried and I feel she is successful in her explanation weather Flying Saucers exist or not. Yours etc….
Sir,
At the very outset I must congratulate the TNT for coming out with a magazine which is close to the hearts of its people. I must also like to say that your profile story on Paul Lyngdoh was very nice. It is heartening to see a young leader who thinks about his people than selfish political mileage. We Khasis, especially abroad and out of our country are very proud of him. Keep it up Bah Paul. Yours etc... Stacey. M. Kharkhongor

Your interview on Nyamar Karbak, the Indian youth congress secretary was very nice. I agree with him when he says that mistakes and problems come from both sides of society. I must think that with his way of thinking, the students of Northeast in Delhi can go a long way and compete in the mainstream.

I have been reading TNT for the last few months. I must say it is a very good monthly journal. It caters to the intellectual needs of all categories of the educated society. I do appreciate Joydeep Bhattacharjee’s articles. His style of writing on political matters especially on national and international issues give a paranomic view of the political scenario around us. The tit bits information given in the magazine are very informative. Do keep up your English standard. I am sure the said magazine will be popular by leap and bounds in the coming years.

Cool of your magazine. I never thought that the rappers like 50 cent could stand on your magazine. I am fond of rappers like that of AKON and EMINEM. It is my request sir, please add some funky rapping of the given type in your lyrics book and I’ll be thankful to you. TNT is the only easy, simplest and cheapest way to know about the news, culture, religion, buildings and structures on the northeastern region in details. TNT can awake the NE to development and it is the only thing that can unite the NE to work together for its development. Its science column and knowledge is very helpful for the students in daily life, making the magazine extraordinary.

Sir,
The write up ‘Dream a Little Dream’ in The Northeast Today, June issue was full of life, it was so interesting that I personally went through four times. In this article of Gail T.W. Thomas I was really fascinated by Brother D’ Souza who is doing so much for poor school dropouts and is trying to teach them how to stand on their own feet through various activities. I have come across Br. D’ Souza but I never knew he is into such a noble cause. Hope there are more of such Brothers in the country. Yours…
