OVERVIEW ou can begin now, but GateHouse News & Interactive Division staff will soon contact your newsroom to launch Web Cube — a customized training and development program designed to implement proven Web and print strategies across the company. By the end of the Web Cube program, your newsroom will:

■ Post Web updates throughout the day by starting with simple press releases and developing a consistent flow of content ■ Publish daily or weekly photo galleries using content that is likely already in your system, including sports and contributed photos ■ Regularly invite readers to submit photos and stories to build a greater flow of local content ■ Use alternative story formats in print to help save time and give readers great new features ■ Run daily or weekly Web polls and results to engage your readers ■ Maximize shared content through syndication in Zope ■ Practice the new online-print strategy as outlined in the handbook to post to the Web only those stories we know generate traffic and not the content that works best in print ■ Analyze Web traffic to focus on driving traffic ■ Aim for increases in page views, visitors ■ Launch Facebook pages, Twitter and MSnap mobile alerts.
