Busting Tips The term lust is usually used in the context of desiring or fantasizing after someone sexually who is not your spouse. But lust includes all sinful desires for things that are evil, or not ordained by God for you to have. Be filled with the things of God. The more you desire the things of God, the less attractive the sinful things are. You get filled with God by spending time with him in prayer and the study of the Bible. Ask God to baptize you in the power of the Holy Spirit. Through the overflowing power of the Holy Spirit lustful desires are put to death. Example: Father in Jesus' Name fill me with the overflowing power of your Holy Spirit. Maintain an attitude of worship by constantly praising God, and singing Christian songs in your heart that gives praise to God. Take time out regularly to meditate on God's word Develop a strong desire for the things of God. Diligently seek after His will for your life, and to be used by Him. Desire for the gifts of the Spirit. When being tempted to lust, resist the desire, and focus on Christ; give him glory, and whisper a prayer to Him for strength.
