Busting Tips Gossiping is habitually spreading the personal information of others (true or untrue, good or bad) for no meaningful purpose or reason. It's in essence entertaining others, and being entertained with information on others. One of the effective ways to avoid gossiping is simply to give an unwelcoming facial expression toward those who gossip. When a person wants to engage you in a gossiping conversation, simply state: I would rather not talk about this person in that way. When others try to talk negatively about someone else, interrupt them and say let's just pray for the person right now instead of talking about them. Doing this often will keep gossiping people from coming to you Avoid meaningless conversation about others. Refuse to use information on others as a means of passing the time, or satisfying your boredom. As a rule, refuse to allow negative conversations about others in your home.
