Greaser Words: Rodeo: a contest of skill in which cowboys rope cattle and ride wild or partly tamed horses, or saddled broncs, and bulls Fuzz: is a slang word meaning “police” two-by-four : a piece of lumber of any length that is four inches wide by two inches thick. Drive-in: outdoor movie theater where people watch the movies from their cars. Soc Words: Mustangs and Covairs: sporty looking cars of the 1960s Madras: a fine cotton cloth, usually striped or plaid used to make clothes such as shirts, skirts etc.

Savvy –- in the story used as slang for “do you understand?” Dictionary definition: to understand something, especially what somebody has said
sarcasm – remarks that mean the opposite of what they seem to say and are intended to mock (treate somebody or something with scorn or contempt)
