Current deficit and common sense Although LCC does have this deficit and clearly, over the longer term, the College / University will have to address this, the current climate of extremely low interest rates implicitly provides the opportunity for careful planning regards how best to deal with this, without the necessity for knee-jerk reactions. This sum also does NOT represent a significant sum of money when compared to the total income of the university and college and the huge sums of money the university has agreed to spend on the Kings Cross project.
