October 28th Grade 1 – Chapter 5 Focus: The Great Commandment. To love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. Being nice to others. Prayer(s) we are Learning: The Our Father Homework: No written homework. Practice The Our Father prayer. Next Week: Lesson 6 Focus: The Church Year. Grade 2

Focus: Reconciliation and Practice at church. Prayer(s) we are Learning: Act of Contrition Mark your calendar: Sunday November 15th at St. John’s the second grade students will receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. Next Week: Continue with the sacrament of Reconciliation prep. and reconciliation practice at church. Homework: Practice the Act of Contrition prayer.

Focus: All Saints Day. Did a class participation activity about Saints. Note to Parents: Mrs. Walters will be contacting you about providing cookies for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Nov. 15th.
