Mrs. Cook’s - First Grade News Oct. 26 - Oct. 30, 2009 This week we’ll read Sid Scores and Land of Ice. Please read with and listen to your child read each day. If you have any questions about the grading standards, please let me know. NOTE: The HALLOWEEN

PARTY will be Friday at 1:30. Please make sure your child’s costume follows the guidelines.

Reading Homework for the Week Monday – read Sid Scores pg. 170-177, do Day 1 on the homework paper, and study sight words.

Tuesday – read Land of Ice pg. 182 - 201, read Phonics Skill and Words to Know pg. 178-181, do Day 2 homework & review sight words. Wednesday – read Land of Ice pg. 182 – 201, My Father’s Feet pg. 205, do Day 3 homework, and study sight words.

Thursday – read Land of Ice pg. 182 – 201, read about the author/ photographer pg. 203, do Day 4 homework and Spelling Triangles.
