1.3 Objectives of the Study The primary objective of this study is to introduce a new means on how to utilize shredded rubber tyres and steel lathes’ waste as partial substitute for coarse aggregate in concrete mixture.

Specifically, the study aimed: 1. To identify the chemical and physical properties of shredded rubber tyres and steel lathes’ waste. 2. To know the processes and tests performed to produce concrete mixture with shredded rubber tyres and steel lathes’ waste 3.
