ACCREDITATION This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Oregon Health & Science University and the Northwest Urological Society. OHSU is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. American Medical Association: OHSU School of Medicine, Division of CME, designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.25MA PRA Category 1 Credits.TM Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT The needs for the annual scientific conference were identified through peer reviews, 2007 conference course evaluations, consensus of experts and focus groups, interviews with the members of the society, current literature and highlights of new techniques in urology (Robotic Surgery). TARGET AUDIENCE This conference is intended for urological surgeons, urology residents, students and associated medical staff to include physician assistants, nurses and medical assistants. There will be a concurrent forum on Friday, December 5, for urology practice administrators and managers. Participants will be from academic and community urology practices throughout the Northwest. EDUCATIONAL FORMAT Submitted abstracts are included into predetermined scientific sessions established by the 2007 Program Committee and the needs assessment process. The sessions conclude with designated questions and answer periods. Experts who have reviewed the PowerPoint Presentations prior to the conference moderate each session. There will be short breaks lasting approximately 30 minutes, designed to provide participants time to visit exhibits and learn about new products and services available to Northwest Urology Practices

COURSE GOALS 1) Provide instruction from national experts in a specific urological subspecialty; urologic oncology and robotics. 2) Provide a forum for individual members and trainees to present the results of recent or ongoing urologic research in the Northwest region. 3) Provide opportunities for clinical urologists to present their experience with patients who have specific urologic disorders, with unusual or difficult clinical problems. Discuss outcomes of new anti-incontinence surgeries 14. Understand outcomes for anti-incontinence surgery 15. Discuss prognostic factors in antenatally diagnosed hydronephrosis 16. Discuss outcomes of vasectomy reversal surgery 17. Discuss various renal transplantation techniques 18. Discuss the role of minimally invasive techniques

for the treatment of small renal masses.
