Jon’s Wall Latest News We were really busy at work last week as we launched an update to the Get Resources section on the EduGuide website. Now when you order a publication you have the choice of either a free electronic file, or printed copies. The design is also a lot better.

Articles Changing Churches I’ve been trying to decide whether or not we should switch to a big church in Mount Pleasant, or stay with the smaller church we’ve been attending for the last couple of years. The upside is that the Community Church, in Mt. Pleasant, offers a lot of strong youth programs and probably for adults too. But, I at least know the people at the Shepherd Methodist Church, and I have to admit that I am pretty comfortable with a church that’s smaller. What do you think? | Post a Comment |

Introducing the eHolster I’ll admit that I am a little strange when it comes to my collection of devices. For starters, its weird that I have a collection at all. Second of all, I carry them in my bag when I am traveling or shopping, and I wear a holster so I can keep my ipod touch within reach at all times. But even I think that it would be pretty silly to wear an eHolster. The eHolster is a pouch for your phone or other digital gadget that straps on over your shoulder and back, like the gun holsters that police detectives wear on TV. | Post a Comment |

Stupid Disney! My wife and I were both pretty disappointed today when we discovered that the only way we can download our free iTunes version of “Wall-E” is to send an email to Disney’s customer support center, mail in proof of purchase, and then wait two weeks before we get our access code so that we can finally download the file off the Internet. This isn’t how things were supposed to be. The packaging says that there will be a “special code” inside, but when my wife opened up the packaging last night there wasn’t anything with a code. Well, in the meanwhile I guess we could just enjoy “Wall-E” on DVD, but I was kind of looking forward to watching the movie on my iPod Touch and taking it with us when we travel for Thanksgiving Day next week. | Post a Comment |

Coming soon: The Return of the Christmas Tree There are only ten days left before it will once again be time for us to put up our Christmas Tree. I haven’t actually been able to take a lot of the credit for setting up or decorating our tree last year because my wife actually did most of the work. I did, however, haul it up from the basement along with our supply of trimmings. We’ve accumulated a wide assortment of Christmas ornaments, tinsel, lights, and other holiday décor over the last few years. Now that Kayla and Josh are older I’m sure that they will be getting involved with the tree decorating process. During the last few years, we would make a big deal about letting them hang up the special stuffed ornaments that we always saved for them. These were the ornaments that we bought back when they were still babies and hung on the lower half of the tree so if they were taken off it wouldn’t be such a big deal. Now they’re both getting so tall that I don’t think there is a spot on the tree that will be out of their reach, except maybe the very top. With all of the traveling we do during the holidays, the decorating tree has actually turned out to be one of the few traditions that we actually participate in as a family.

When are you planning on seng up your Christmas tree? Can you post a photo when you do? I would be interested in hearing about your different holiday tradions, too! | Post a Comment |
