Rules

Races

The series shall be governed by the rules 5.1 as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2009 - 2012 as ammeded by the Ariel Sailing Club Sailing Instructions. Handicaps shall be in accordance with the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick scheme.

1. Reserve days may be used if races are not completed as scheduled or if the race committee considers it unlikely that races will be completed as scheduled.

This series is open to all members of Ariel Sailing Club who have attained RYA Level 2 within the past 18 months and all classes of boat.

Sailing Instructions

The Ariel Sailing Club Sailing Instructions will be available after 1200 on 1/1/2009 at ASC Website. Any change to the Ariel Sailing Club Sailing Instructions will be posted at least 30 mins before the race in which it will take effect, except that any change to the schedule of races will be posted by 2000 on the day before it will take effect.
