31ST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME NOVEMBER 2ND, 2008 IN YOUR PRAYERS: We pray for our loved ones who have died. We pray for our sick, especially Kathy Quinn, Kurt Spitznagel, Mary Russell, Kathy Searson, Elvina Zavitski, Joyce McMahon, Stan Deacon, Gerry Emon, Richard Leppert, Lucille Leveck-Kalimeris, Joseph Valliquette, Stella Kearney, Elizabeth Brumm, Tracy Mulvihill, Gladys McNulty, Marie Hanrahan, Mary Drake, Ed Lee, Shirley Church, Claude Gagnon and Helen Valliquette.

Hockey Game: Thursday, November 13th – Ottawa Senators vs New York Islanders. Only half the tickets have been sold. Any remaining tickets are now available to non-parishioners. Cost : $45.00 & food donations for New Connections Ministries. Cash or cheque made payable to St. Francis Xavier at the parish office. Christmas Boxes: Once again this year we will be supplying Shoe Boxes for Operation Christmas Child. They will be available for pick up after masses this weekend and up until November 23rd, you may also use back packs or toolboxes. Please make sure to follow the instructions in the brochure carefully. Boxes must be returned to the Parish Office by November 25th. Some of the countries we will be helping this year include; Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Sierra Leone. Thank you for your ongoing support in this very worthwhile endeavor. DIOCESAN PARTNERSHIP WITH LIMA, PERU: Anyone interested in helping families through a monetary donation may do so by sending it to the Sisters of Saint Joseph, 1127 Pembroke St. W., Pembroke, ON K8A 5R3 c/o Sr. Pauline Colterman, or call her at 613732-1203. These donations will provide a Christmas basket and help families who are still struggling after the 2007 earthquake. BAPTISMS: We welcome to the Christian Community the children baptized at St. Francis Xavier last weekend. As the Parents and Sponsors made a commitment to share with these children our Catholic faith, we as a faith community offer our on-going support to * PAIGE BEVERLY BLANCHE INGRAM, daughter of Jason & Natalie * PEIGHTON MARIE LAVALLEE, daughter of Mark & Lisa * GILLIAN GRACE MAHUSKY, daughter of Scott & Nancy DEVELOPMENT & PEACE: Fall campaign of Development & Peace called *Working Our Land, Fighting for Our Rights* on November 8th from 10:00 am until 12 noon at the Marguerite Centre in Pembroke. Each parish is encouraged by the Diocese to have two members present. We are an active community in the area of Social Justice but lack people to extend the work of a few leaders.
