OSMANIA UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD – 500 007 PGECET – 2009 NOTIFICATION (Conducted on behalf of APSCHE) Post-graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) 2009 for admission into M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch./M.Plg. Courses in the University and Affiliated Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Applications are invited for appearing at the Post-graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) for admission into M.E. /M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch/M.Plg. (Full Time) in University and Affiliated Engineering Colleges in A.P. to be conducted by Osmania University as per G.O.Ms.No.54 (EC-2) dated:21-6-2007 of Higher Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Eligibility Criteria Candidates satisfying the following requirements will be eligible to appear for the PGECET – 2009. i) ii) iii)

The candidate should be of Indian Nationality. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order of 1974 as subsequently amended. The candidate should have passed or appeared for the final year of B.E./B.Tech/AMIE/B.Pharmacy/B.Arch./B.Planning or equivalent examination for seeking admission into post-graduate courses and its specialization. Specialization under Category-I, II, III (See the Annexure A & B in the information booklet). Eligibility requirement is as per each programme/course offered and details are given information booklet which is available along with application form or in website: www.osmania.ac.in and www.pgecet2009.net.

Mere qualifying in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to have been admitted in to PG Engineering course unless the candidate satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority concerned. NOTE: 1. 2.

The vacant seats if any after admitting GATE qualified candidates will be filled with the candidates based on t he Rank secured in the PGECET – 2009. Separate notification will be issued shortly for admission to PG courses in Engineering for GATE Qualified candidates. However, such candidates may also appear for PGECET in case they wish to seek admission in other interested specializations. IMPORTANT DATES

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS Duly filled-in-application forms may be submitted along with relevant documents by Speed Post/Courier to the Convener, PGECET-2009, University College of Engineering (Autonomous) Campus, Osmania University, Hyderabad – 500 007, India on or before 30-04-2009 (Thursday) up to 5:00 p.m. The application forms may also be submitted (a) on or before 07-05-2009 (Thursday) up to 5:00 p.m. along with a late fee of Rs.500/- (b) on or before 14-05-2009 (Thursday) with a late fee of Rs.2500/- in the form of DD drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “The Secretary, APSCHE” payable at Hyderabad. Incomplete application forms and application forms received after the specified date and time will summarily be rejected. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION ONLINE Applications can also be submitted online. However, a copy of the downloaded application form along with duly attested passport size photograph and D.D. for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST) drawn in favour of “The Secretary, APSCHE” payable at Hyderabad is to be sent to “The Convener, PGECET-2009”.
