Philippine Conglomerate, Ayala Group Subsidiary in Japan for IT Ayala Group, which is the biggest and oldest conglomerate more than 150 years old, sets the first subsidiary in Japan.
Opening Party was held in Tokyo, gathering about 80 possible clients.
Aside
from Bank, this is the first Filipino big company in Japan.
“ASJ,Inc.” (Mihama-ku, Chiba, Japan) is a subsidiary of Ayala Systems Technology, Inc. (ASTI) which was incorporated 1988 as a IT company of Ayala Group. “Ayala Group moves now toward globalization.
Mr.Erwin Locsin, President of ASTI said,
Other group company, Integrated Microelectric, Inc.
(IMI), now a representative office in Japan, also will soon become a corporation.”
Planning to incorporate ASJ started when Mr.Shigeru Koda, President of ASJ, proposed a year ago to approach into Japanese market, according to Mr.Erwin Locsin.
President Koda was assigned in the Philippines when he worked with Kawasaki Steel Corp (now JFE Steel) and moved into Ayala Group. He said, “ASJ has many OSS Engineers. We are looking for long term partners in Japan.”
