Greetings my dear brothers, members of the National Federation of Religious Brothers in the Philippines, on your ninth triennial convention! You gather this year under the theme One Heart, One Nation, One Mission. A Spirituality of Communion, which is also the essence of your charism and your special vocation in the Church. You have chosen a particular path in your service to God and His people, and offered your life and your labor to bring them closer to Him. This is your mission. And this mission you can accomplish with purity and authenticity only if you are of one heart with Jesus His Son who showed with His life here on earth the perfect example of what this mission means and entails. A heart which is one with the heart of Jesus is at the core of the spirituality of communion. Spiritual communion is being one with Jesus in faith, in love, in full trust and confidence in God the Father. Spiritual communion is embracing the protection and care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother, whose total surrender and obedience to the will of God we, and you, brothers, to strive to follow in your lives, and in your mission and service to others. May your coming together every three years bear abundant spiritual fruits and graces in your mission and in your ministry. Always be assured of my prayers for God's blessings on you.
