MOMMY Moment….
By Julie Hoagland
We were at Wal-mart shopping and Isaiah said "mama poopoo! My worst nightmare, a public bathroom and of all places, Wal-mart. I said "are you sure?" Isaiah said "yes, right now,." We scurried to the bathroom, parked our cart and off we went. I carefully layered toilet seat covers and prayed we would not be bombarded with to many germs. He sat down and immediately the automatic toliet flushed itself. He jumped straight up! He asked me what it was and why? I told him it was the toilet and it was okay, it was doing what it was supposed to do. Again, it flushed and we went through the same drill of me explaining that it was fine. I started laughing and could not regain my composure. The bathroom was very crowded and I know people were listening to us. Finally, Isaiah relaxed and told me it was okay and that he knew why the toilet was flushing. I asked him why and he replied.....It's Jesus!

Welcome Moms!
Jen Alexander - Mom2Mom Coordinator
I want to thank you for helping pioneer this brand new, dynamic women’s ministry here at PFC! I along with our coordinator team, are blessed by your presence. You’ve done an amazing job navigating through the first day and morning drop off routine! Take a deep breath and give yourself some kudos for making it here despite everything else that needed to get done this morning… you’re here. and that’s all that matters! I’m guessing as you were preparing to leave this morning, you had a list of things running through that mind of yours. It seems there’s a never ending list of to-do’s in our schedule. All the while trying to keep up with our children’s needs, our husbands needs, our household, friendships, ministries, work! Life can be exhausting, let’s face it! But isn’t there a comfort in knowing that we’re not alone in our efforts to be the best moms we possibly can be? Knowing that our Creator, who pre-destined us to be the moms of our children, equipped us to be the very best for the one’s he’s entrusted to us? In addition, to also know that we can turn to one another for questions, for help, for a listening ear in our time of need? A friend of mine once said, “You know… it really does take a village to raise a MOM!” And isn’t that the truth?! As I’m typing this welcome letter I’m currently over 30,000 feet in the air traveling out of state for a five day girl’s only vacation with some of my high school friends. I gotta admit: life seems so very different from way up here. Problems seem so very tiny at this altitude! But I came on this flight with some “baggage”… let me tell you! On the eve of my departure, I had a li’l, shall we say, “break-down” of sorts! Weeping over concerns and worries that, in hind sight, weren’t really mine to own. Details over this ministry. Mommy guilt for leaving my baby for five days. Packing. Cleaning. Meals. All the little things that us moms fret over and can’t seem to clear our minds of. This morning, before my husband left for work, he prayed over me. And I began to regain God’s perspective rather than trying to cling to my own. That prayer did wonders for me. Getting Godly perspective in addition of having a visual of the earth from way up here, really helped get my mind right! We have a huge God, Ladies! And in the midst of all of us trying to figure out this life of motherhood” he cares enough to speak in to us this year about SIMPLICITY! He wants to show us how big he can be if we would only allow him to be! And how small and very manageable our list of to do’s really are through His eyes, and not our own! We love each and every one of you and are thrilled you want to join us as we learn… so COME! GROW WITH US!! Let’s Simplify our lives through Godly wisdom!

What does the M2M Care Coordinator do? I have the privilege of recognizing the special events in the lives of our moms and their families, such as birthday's, anniversaries, birth announcements, adoption announcements, etc. I also will coordinate the support of moms and their families with special needs, ranging from prayer for a very specific need to organizing a food chain for a anyone who needs help. Best of all I get to love on the moms of our group and remind them how special and wonderful they are.
