Beach Bum News Ms. Emily Salyer

September 12, 2009 Volume 1, Issue 1

Welcome to the First Grade! Dear parents and first graders, I am looking forward to getting to know and working with each and every one of you. I want to let you know a little bit about myself as hopefully we will be working closely and getting to know each other better throughout the first grade year. I attended James Madison University and completed the Teacher Licensure Program at University of Richmond. I love to do things outside like hiking and camping but I also like to cook and I love to read. I also really love the beach! I enjoy the beach so much that I have brought it to our classroom! We will have a beach themed classroom this year, which means that our classroom will be decorated like the beach, daily learning centers will be beach like activities, and even our behavior plan is beach themed.
