Letter of Mr. Fujiyoshi to PCV’s members (part 1)

Friendly people On April 5, on the occasion of the PCV’s Grand Opening Ceremony, I visited Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. This was my third time visiting Vietnam. My first time was to set up a place for the Mr. Fujiyoshi and PCV’s employees factory; the second time was to promote the factory’s construction. Vietnam has many famous landscapes such as Halong Bay, theWorld Heritage Site, but I noticed that there were not many Japanese visiting there, even yourself doesn’t know much about it. That’s why I would like to tell you a little bit about PCV and my feelings for Vietnam. At the home page of Matsushita’s website is the link to the website of Mr. Nakamura. He attended the PCV’ Grand Opening ceremony and then delivered his impressions after that ceremony in his letter of thanks. I suggest you spend a little bit of your time to check it out. PCV was established under the establishment of Panasonic Vietnam which belongs to the Matsushita group with the headquarters in Thang Long industrial park, a suburb of Hanoi. As with the other overseas Panasonic’s companies, PCV has a close connection with the headquarters in Japan. Since last October the company started production operation and then was recognized officially as an enterprise so we held the Grand Opening ceremony with the attendance of government officials. The guest list was kept in the company’s home page.

Thang Long is meaningful land, means “flying dragon”, PV is the holder company with big factories including PCV and PEDV which act together to run the business in Vietnam. The first members are the key persons. General Director Tanaka (former PCM’s General Director) has been making efforts to provide the employees with training on production, working manners base on Mr. Fujiyoshi’s meeting with some key members PCC’s business guideline “Making people before making products”. On the First of May PCV welcomed the 484th member, many of these members were sent to Japan to do research and to be trained. By the end of this year, we plan to increase the number of employees to 2000 persons. PCV’s employees are enthusiastic, diligent and are expected to lead PCV to become a company whose products are sophisticated. A lot of excellent students graduated from Hanoi University of Technology and Hanoi University of Foreign studies, 24 people among them have achieved their Nikyu certificates. In the Grand Opening ceremony, two female employees translated for the factory tour very well which made Mr. Nakamura very glad. As for me, after that ceremony I had my first talk with all PCV’s employees in the afternoon. Later I had an informal meeting with some employees. When talking about their hobbies some said that they would like to study more so that they can speak 4 languages: Vietnamese, English, Japanese, and Chinese. You employees are so diligent and studious! During that afternoon’s meeting, when I had just mentioned about establishing QCDE beside of QDC they immediately gave me some creative ideas for this. (to be continued)
