A Preschool This Memorial School is a family run school established in memory of our beloved late father, who was himself, not only a theologian but also a philosopher, a visionary and an educator. It is a play way school providing high quality learning experience and a safe and fun place for learning for young children. The school follows a structured, play based curriculum.

The Pre School is classed as Early Years’ Education and follows the six areas of learning as its curriculum. ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺AREAS OF LEARNING☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺ Physical Creative Mathematical Knowledge Language, Music development literacy anddevelopment understanding and Communication of the world skills Development Music

Admission Procedures: Children will be admitted to the school in March of the school year at aged three. All new intake children are invited into school with their parents to meet their teachers during the term before entry. All required information will be given at this meeting. Parents who are applying to the school from another school are welcome to contact the school. The school is open between the hours of 8:40 am to 1:20 pm.

If you arrive early we ask you to wait in the waiting shed until the classroom doors are open. At the end of the session, parents are requested to wait near the main door and collect your children. A member of staff will send your child out to you. It is a requirement that only persons nominated at the time of registration collect their child. Notice and identification has to be given in advance of any other person collecting a child on this telephone no:…………….. The staffs are on duty for ten minutes before the start and finish of the school day to meet the parents’ queries if any, during the week days. Rules and Regulations: Absences and lateness: If your child is absent from school we must ask you for a note on his/her return because records are kept indicating whether an absence was authorized or not. Punctuality is considered a very important part of children’s general education and the co operation of all parents is asked to see that their child arrives before the school bell is rung. Any child suffering from any of the following should be kept at home and parents should notify the staff of any medical condition A rash/ diarrhea/ a cold or flu/ measles/ discharge from the eyes or nose and any other contagious illness. If any child becomes sick during class hours, every effort will be made to contact the parents. All clothes and personal belongings should be indelibly marked with the child’s name. All pupils must wear full, clean uniform during school days. All changes in personal details especially telephone numbers and / or addresses, should be communicated to the school to ensure that our records are up to date. Parking in front of the school is limited and we request that all parents show consideration for other parents by proper use of the demarcated spots provided. Information will be given at the beginning of each term to keep parents informed of each term’s themes. Planning sheet for the week is displayed on the notice board. Your child’s daily program is displayed on the main entrance. Most creative art work is kept in the classrooms. This is then sent home quarterly to be kept at home so that the parents can admire and appreciate their child’s works. Parents are urged to take special care of their child’s personal hygiene. Throughout the year, the teachers will periodically meet the parents and inform them about their child’s performances at school.

Each student will be required to bring two standard sized photos for their student card. FEE:

A non refundable fee of Rs …………. will be paid at the time of admission. This includes Text books/ Copies/ Uniform/ bag/aprons/assessment activities. Monthly fees of Rs …………is to be paid quarterly. Students are enrolled for the entire school year with the parents and guardians responsible for payment of the full tuition fee. No portion of fees will be refunded in the event of student’s absences/dismissal or withdrawal from the school. Our environment: Quiet room: is an area where children can sit quietly with books and rest. A favorite area is the pet’s corner where our rabbits live and the children’s garden where different plants are grown and an aquarium. We have large rooms to accommodate a rich array of activities which are designed to allow children the freedom to explore and learn.

Library: **Each week we operate a library lending scheme. Children may choose books to take home and return the following week. Please do note that in order to keep a good library stocked we will have to charge against any badly damaged or lost books Our Staff: All of our staff are professionally qualified and regularly undertake further training to update their knowledge
