Natalia Espino March 26th, 2019 English ll Writing Portfolio Reflection

The assignment was an essay, answering the question of “How can persuasive writing and speaking advance the progress towards social justice and equality?”, I met 3 out of four requirements of the rubric for the essay. I scored a 1 in the criteria, command and evidence, and reasoning and connection. For evaluation for success I scored a meets. My overall score was an exceeds. I was honestly 75% prepared for this assignment, this is because I was very tardy on friday two weeks ago where we were given an outline to help us prepare for the big essay, I was also tardy the tuesday of last week when we started to write our outline for the essay. I was confident in myself that I knew what I was doing. Thankfully with the focus I had in class, I was able to finish the essay and receive a good grade. Things that I would do differently during the pre-work would be to be on class on time and if I had a question or if I was confused, I would be able to ask my teacher for help In all honesty the essay was easy but also hard at the same time, this is because I was able to answer the peomt easily but the reasoning was a little bit hard for me for the fact that I had to rephrase what I originally had to fit the questions that were on the outline for thesis essay. But I was able to adjust and get a good grade for the assignment. I came up with my thesis by restating the question that was being asked and adding the main idea of all three writings into one.I honestly would not change my essay after we had the paideia for the fact that what I heard and what I said what somewhat in my essay but just phrased differently. Also I believe that I did a very good job on my essay but I could have always added more to make it better.
