Geology emphasises improved interaction with our environment using geological principles, and is involved with environmental planning, the safe disposal of waste, avoidance of water pollution, and urban development Geology play a leading role in the utilization and management of natural resources, evaluating how natural processes impact on all life on Earth, and how humans interact with the Earth. Geology seek to understand why landscapes look the way they do: to understand landform history and dynamics, and predict future changes through a combination of field observation, physical experiment, and numerical modelling.
